Hi my furiends! It's Roary and talk about NO RESPECT!! It's almost the END of National Respect Your Cat Day and Mom is FINALLY allowing me to have a say on the blog! If you ask me, this should have been done waaay before the last minute!
I pretty much feel I do NOT get the respect that I deserve!
I was here first but everything in our house revolves around the attention-hog Giant Sheltie who resides here as well.
Everything is "Levi this and Levi that!"
Mom wonders why I don't sit on her lap? Well, she chooses to watch TV on the couch right in front of Levi's crate! If he sees me while he is in the crate he loses his mind!
I think Mom gives waaay too much attention to Levi. Dad does too. But.....I am all about "Team Dad" and frankly he is the one I prefer!
You would think Mom was a DOG person the way she acts with Levi!
I guess because he seems mentally challenged, she has to tend to his needs more.
In fairness though, after a gazillion months Mom FINALLY cleaned and re-charged my fountain.
(But I still prefer drinking out of the bathtub).
She also bought me delicious broth made just for cats and dogs to encourage me to drink more fluids!
I would say that's a paw in the right direction but she sure has a long way to go!
Mom says she respects me EVERY SINGLE DAY, but I beg to differ!! Hoping you kitties get way more respect than I do!
Love, Roary
Cats rule. What great shots. I love the shower one the best.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and week, Caren. Scritches to the boys. ♥
thank you!! I love that one too! xoxo
DeleteWe kitties get lots of respect here. Mom & Dad say we need to respect them more (or at least respect their rule about staying off the kitchen counters). The first photo of you is absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have it pretty good Roary. :) But, there is always room for improvement. XO
ReplyDeleteRoary, Aretha said it best…R-E-S-P-E-C-T…find out what it means to me!
ReplyDeleteYep and Cody knew that too!! Hence is post a few years ago: https://www.catchatwithcarenandcody.com/2019/03/r-e-s-p-e-c-tfind-out-what-it-means-to.html
DeleteWe know your wonderful mom DOES respect you, Roary. But there's always room for improvement. Right? XO
ReplyDeleteThere is room for TONS of improvement if you ask me!! Love, Roary
Deletecats were and are gods... we should always remember that ;O)
ReplyDeletecoming from you two adorable woofies, that is a HUGE compliment! xoxo
DeleteLove that photo peeping out the side of the shower curtain! Of course you should have all the respect every day, Roary.
ReplyDeletethank you!! I love it too! That boy is crazy, LOVES to drink from the leaky faucet!
DeleteDear Roary, you are a cat after my own heart. I am not a wolfie lover as I am a single cat in a cat loving house. I see doggies walking on leashes ev-furry day, and I growl at them unless it is one I have seen lots and lots of. Walking on a leash! I think that says a lot about doggies right there. I walk on my own, thank you. But of course I admit that is only inside, mol. Precious
ReplyDeletePrecious I agree with you! The fact that they have to be walked on a leash just shows how much extra attention they demand!! Sending lots of love to you! Roary
DeleteI am pretty sure your Mum loves you Roary. You are lovely and smart.
ReplyDeleteDogs need a lot of direction and that is why they get more attention.
That is not the kind of attention you want though as you are naturally smart.
I bet she appreciates that you are a good cat and a lovely cat !!
Purrs, Julie
We know your mom loves and respects you, Roary. Sometimes us pups need a little more attention. We're sure it will all even out in the end.
ReplyDeleteDogs need more attention. You Roary know that the world revolves around cats. The internet proves it!
ReplyDeletethere you go!!
DeleteSuch cute pictures of you, Roary! I'm sure you are very respected. But a kitty, more is always welcome! Purrs!
ReplyDeleteYou might be cute beyond belief, but you do deserve respect!
ReplyDeleteWay to speak up, Roary. We should all get more respect, I say. Tough when you gotta share living space, though, I can imagine. I guess I should be thankful I'm the only 4-legged being here, huh? You know, after looking at these pictures I gotta say, my new mom would freak with all that stuff over the toilet here. Love that face in your first photo!
ReplyDeleteSmudge, what can I say, I share a bathroom with my Mom and she is a SLOB!!! MOL!!
DeleteRoary, that first photo of you - I don't think you could be any cuter!!!
ReplyDeleteWe are so sad to hear that you are being disrespected, Roary! Fight the good fight.
ReplyDeleteEncouraging purrs from Miss Emily and Willow.
I think I would be considered disrespectful as I am very late to come and see what shortcoming you had to merowl about...yup, it was that was around here, too, when we, angels Pipo & Minko had to put up with that dog-guy known as MJF...at least he didn't go too crazy when we warmed the laps of or peeps, he came and warmed their feet, cause he wasn't in a crate after his housetraining/breaking was complete.
ReplyDeleteI had to aww at how you were checking to see if anyone was watching you in the bath tub!
Dakota was "crate-free" when he turned two. He decided for himself that he was DONE! He was totally different than Levi. He was far more trust-worthy and played with Cody in a completely different way. Levi STILL gets carried away with Roary and plays too rough. Plus, he isn't trust-worthy on his own. He won't have an accident in the house, it's just EVERYTHING else he will try to get into. He's far more rambunctious and active than Dakota ever was. Levi will probably use a crate for the rest of his life lol
DeleteWe're sure you're being respected effury day, sweetie😺Extra Pawkisses to all🐾😽💞
