In honor of this most special event, my "bonus" daughter and her husband (the parents of this adorable baby girl), threw a first birthday party that was fun and FABULOUS! And...it had a CAT THEME!!
The reasons for the cat theme are because her parents are both avid cat lovers (they have two little dogs too), and baby Harper is CRAZY about the cats that live in her home, (they have two). She is particularly crazy about their white cat, Mimi. While I used to have photos of Mimi on my phone, for some reason I don't, so I am posting this old photo of Harper with their other cat, "Little Meow". Harper absolutely adores kitties!
It's hard to remember her being soooo small!!! So, now you can see why there was a cat-themed party! I am posting some photos so you can see just how darling this party was!
There were cat cups, cat plates and cat napkins!
CATS! CATS! CATS! EVERYWHERE!!!!
There was even a special guest who was kind enough to allow me to let her appear on the blog!
There were a TON more photos, (those of you who are on Facebook probably already saw them, if not, head on over and check them out).
It was TRULY a PURRFECT birthday party and we are all sooo thankful to have this precious cutie in our lives!
We are happy to be participating in Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, over on Brian's Home, head on over and check out all of the great blogs who are participating!

What a cute party idea. We don't see many cat themed parties.
ReplyDeleteI think I will do that for my grandchild, if I ever get to have one.
ReplyDeletebut...you are lucky you have children (I can't remember how many) I have no biological children of my own and always wanted them. I probably enjoy Harper even more as a result of that.
DeleteBelated happy birthday to your granddaughter, Caren. One already? Wow! She's a doll, a real sweetie. ♥
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun, fun party. WeeeOooo, where does the time go, 1 year already?!?! Happy Birthday sweet Harper from all of us. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

ReplyDeleteWow, this is purrfect at any age! Happy belated birthday to darling Harper!
ReplyDeleteYou know that Hello Kitty! appears on so many items, so last year when I was at the hospital for my broken hand bones, I asked the nurses to bandage me with Hello Kitty! wrap, as I was sure they had some for children...and for me! Unfortunately, they couldn't, so they drew an image of a cat face on tape, and wrapped my hand with that! I think that was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteif I am correct you posted that on your blog too, I think I remember seeing that. Actually I am NOT a fan of "Hello Kitty" AT ALL..........but....I know many others like her so I faked it to get her on the blog MOL!!
DeleteLooks like a great party, but who is having the most fun I wonder? Happy Birthday to Harper. 😻

DeleteWe like how you’re starting your granddaughter off early as a “crazy cat lady!” We can’t believe she’s a year old already. Happy Birthday to her!
ReplyDeleteWe didn't. She is like that on her own because she lives with 2 cats. She lives with 2 cats and 2 dogs and MUCH prefers cats. It's just how she rolls.
