This happened in 2018 at least 4 times, each time the blog posts would stop coming for as long as 4 or 5 weeks at a time, then...BOOM......they would magically re-appear.
This is frustrating because if you do not have your blog on Blog Lovin' and you aren't posting your links in a blog hop of some sort, I can't read them (because my feeble mind doesn't remember the well over 100 blogs I follow by each and every name).
For those that are number watchers, those will be affected as well because obviously if your blog isn't hitting someone's inbox, it isn't being seen or read.
I am doing my best to keep up with my blog reading and commenting, but if I am not around that is why.
If anyone knows the secret as to how to contact Feedburner to bring this to their attention, leave a comment and let me in on the secret. I have tried stealing the witch's broom and returning it to the Great Wizard of Oz, but this doesn't seem to be the fix.
Thank you!
Yes, ours is very frustrating as it is not going out nor is the Cat Blogospehere feed. I wish they'd get their act together.
ReplyDeleteI hate to say that you just made me happy, but you DID! Last time this happened everyone told me it was just me! I am so sorry this is happening to you, but you made me feel MUCH better! xoxo
DeleteI've not used FeedBurner in years. Did on my blogger blog, but not on WordPress. It's always something isn't it.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day, Caren. Scritches to the boys. ♥
I simply go through my 'Favorite Blogs' list on the right side of my blog, that way I hit all of the new posts...except for a few who won't update; those are the ones that I have email updates from. Hope this irons out soon, Caren!
ReplyDeletesorry, but I follow WAY too many blogs for that to be feasible.......and I think you can't include WordPress blogs on that but I am not sure. I follow a TON of blogs......over 200 of my daily emails are blogs.
DeleteSorry for the frustrating situation, but I love your post... and the picture.
ReplyDeleteI don't follow a lot of blogs. To lazy to do it. So I use the blogroll on the side of my blog.
Courage.
Bonne soirée
Natacha
xoxoxo maybe I will re-visit the blogroll thing.......at least it would give me some of them
DeleteI totally understand, Caren. I'm having trouble keeping up too as I follow a lot of blogs! I try my best and always comment back to anyone who comments me.
ReplyDeletePurrs xx
Athena and Marie
the blogs aren't coming to you too? Thank you so much! xoxo
DeleteI subscribe to all my blogs through WordPress (even non WordPress blogs) and usually don't have an issue. I also get your blog and the Island Cats through email as well but I don't think feedburner is involved. I could be wrong.
ReplyDeleteUgh! I don't use Feedburner, but that sounds very frustrating! That graphic made me laugh, though.
ReplyDeleteI don't follow by emails but use Feedly. That works well for me. I hope Feedburner gets it's act together and sends you all your updates.
ReplyDeleteAlthough it is not funny, I thought the customer service lady meme a hoot! I have no answers to what to do, sorry!
ReplyDeleteOh it's definitely funny! What else can you do but laugh? I posted that for the countless people who say it isn't happening to them......(I tend to doubt it, I just think they aren't as observant hehehe)...........
DeleteHow annoying! I get the e-mails too - but I use them as backup. I have a folder of bookmarks of blogs I visit regularly and I just go and open them all in a new window. With 100 blogs, I'd break it into 3 or 4 folders of bookmarks.
ReplyDeleteWell, I follow way more than 100 blogs...sooo......that wouldn't work. I added a blog roll on the side of the blog but that doesn't make much of a dent because I follow so many more. I am not dedicated to blogging like you and many others are...I just don't have the time to sit and read blog after blog (that's why I prefer them coming to email because I read them inbetween other things).......it's all good.........hopefully the blog roll will help
DeleteI am sorry you are having trouble with feedburner. I am not sure if mine is one of the problems. I wish I knew how to fix these things. XO
ReplyDeleteSince Google bought Feedburner, they haven't exactly been a priority. We are probably lucky it still exists at all.
ReplyDeleteThe first time we heard of this, we changed and followed you simply via RSS in Leaf. It works like magic ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteBefore Christmas I lost all notifications for Sweet Purrfections...and maybe others I have forgotten, as you say, cause I use email notices. I am glad to know it isn't just me, but it sure is frustrating ! Until I installed Firefox (because Chrome stopped opening my email account) I could never comment on Brian's Home. Now I can. Go figure.
ReplyDeleteActually I lost all notifications for Sweet Purrfections too (when all of the other blogs WERE coming to my inbox).......she must be having some sort of problem that she might not know about. That is so strange, I use Chrome and it lets me comment on Brian's Home.....I never liked Firefox because I heard bad things about it. Hope your problems are resolved soon too and nope, it isn't just you!
