When my human was a kid, she says there were TWO president's days in February, one for Washington and one for Lincoln. She doesn't remember when they got combined, but she felt like she was getting cheated with a 2 for 1 holiday.
ReplyDeleteactually what you are remembering is Abraham Lincoln's birthday is February 12, and Washington's is February 22nd......like you, I thought President's Day was created to celebrate both of their birthdays together (which I always hated when they did that)...then...when I was googling before posting.......all they are listing is Washington and NOT Lincoln! Do you freakin' believe it????? No matter what, I don't like the "2 for 1" thing either!
