The cat not only looks just like Cody, but...since I am off having lithotripsy number-I-lost-count-I-have-had-so-many, it sums up my mood exactly!!!
Have a great day all!!
For those that wonder, no....I don't get 1 or 2 stones. I have 100s. All day, every day! It's the nature of the condition that I have. No, they will never go away. The purpose of the lithotripsies are to keep the stones a manageable size so that:
1) I can pass them at home myself without going to the hospital
2) So they do not block my kidneys causing them to shut down
3) So I hopefully don't have to wear a stent
Catch ya after I'm done getting "stoned"!
MOL.. I can't say ' Hey ' like the cat who look like you, Cody. but I can say ' Ouch ' when the doctor used the cotton bud cleaned my claw.
ReplyDeleteIn some how my mom just knows why your mom lives everyday like her last day. Always have a positive vibes! Good on her. I prayer & Purrs for her
Lot of love
xox
I love that cat! I am so sorry you medullary sponge kidneys disease.
ReplyDeleteMy Daughter In Law has that and she passes stones almost every day. When I spent two weeks with her sewing, she toughed it out a couple of days because she did not want to miss time with me.
OMG I am so sorry about your daughter-in-law!!!! The poor thing! Many people have never heard of MSK (because it is rare)........some would never believe that she passes stones almost every day but I KNOW that is true!! Please give her (((hugs))) from me, wish I knew her!
DeleteDat cat shure are funny!
ReplyDeleteI hope your procedure goes well! That is a tough condition to have.
ReplyDeleteWe have a cat or two that stop by occasionally and I can always tell when they're leaving because Bear Cat howls "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOO." It's deep and guttural and breaks my heart. We hope everything goes well. I can't even imagine how painful that must be.
ReplyDeleteOh Miss Caren we hope that litho breaks those stones into eeeeeeny weeeeeeny ones so they don't hurt you and you can pass them easy. In the meantime Mom and I giggled so hard our sides hurt at the HEY video. We'd seen it before but it still makes us laugh - my Mom said that would drive her nuts whereas my constant meowing never did!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Angel Sammy
That video is so funny! I hope your procedure goes well...hundreds of stones must be so painful. Best wishes!
ReplyDeleteLove the video! Purrs and prayers that things go well.

A meow of Sofia and Frida
Geez, your condition sounds painful; do you go for regular lithotripsies, just to keep those stones small? Can you get a kidney transplant? Take care!
ReplyDeleteIt is sometimes painful, well...it is OFTEN painful lol. Yes, the regular lithos are to keep the stones a manageable size so that they can be passed at home without having to go to the hospital. Nope on a kidney transplant, I have MSK in both kidneys.
DeleteThis could be my cat on the video :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon Caren!
Loved that cat and yes he looks a lot like Cody. Now I know what Cody sounds like too.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the stones. I've known a few folks that have them, but nothing like you do.
Have a fabulous day. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to the boys. ♥♥♥
So funny. Good luck with the procedure thingy
ReplyDeleteSnorts,
Lily & Edward
It's a real funny video.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry about your kidney problem. My father has stones or what he calls sands. But he has it every 2 or 3 years. It's real painfull. I know that at the moment he is in pain.
But to live with this every day, must be a real hard thing.
I hope that your kidney will continue to work with no need for a transplantation.
Douce soirée

Hmmm, does your mum sing Dylan's "Everyone Must Get Stoned" while she has this done?
ReplyDeleteYep!! You are on facebook, right? Go to her personal page and see one of her comments on yesterday's post.......the video is right there!!! She also sang it today at the hospital!! MOL!!
DeleteI am glad you can laugh at your condition, a positive attitude means a lot with stuff like that.
ReplyDeleteThanks!! I couldn't agree more!

ReplyDeleteEmma and Buster
MOL ! What a funny video ! We cross our paws for your mom and hope everything goes well. Purrs
ReplyDeleteMOL! We've seen this and it is so funny! If only...!
ReplyDeleteWhat a funny video! Minko was here between me and the laptop...purring away...and he stopped to see who had invaded with the Hey! MOL!!!
ReplyDeleteHope your stones got smashed to bits so you can get rid of some of them. Do they break up into sandlike particles??
Sure hope your pain is minimal by now. All that bruising does not sound like anything fun at all. Purrs and hugs! xox!
thanks! Some are "sandlike" others are "chunks" this one was particularly bad. Each litho is different, my doctor said my stones in the left kidney were really bad this time....so...I have been paying the price the past few days.
