Cat Video that "Voices" My Sentiments EXACTLY!!

While going through my email on Monday I nearly died laughing when I saw this video that was sent to me by my dear friend who writes the blog Tails Around the Ranch.....

The cat not only looks just like Cody, but...since I am off having lithotripsy number-I-lost-count-I-have-had-so-many, it sums up my mood exactly!!!

Have a great day all!!

For those that wonder, no....I don't get 1 or 2 stones. I have 100s. All day, every day! It's the nature of the condition that I have. No, they will never go away. The purpose of the lithotripsies are to keep the stones a manageable size so that:

1) I can pass them at home myself without going to the hospital
2) So they do not block my kidneys causing them to shut down
3) So I hopefully don't have to wear a stent

Catch ya after I'm done getting "stoned"!

  2. I love that cat! I am so sorry you medullary sponge kidneys disease.
My Daughter In Law has that and she passes stones almost every day. When I spent two weeks with her sewing, she toughed it out a couple of days because she did not want to miss time with me.

  4. We have a cat or two that stop by occasionally and I can always tell when they're leaving because Bear Cat howls "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOO." It's deep and guttural and breaks my heart. We hope everything goes well. I can't even imagine how painful that must be.

  5. Oh Miss Caren we hope that litho breaks those stones into eeeeeeny weeeeeeny ones so they don't hurt you and you can pass them easy. In the meantime Mom and I giggled so hard our sides hurt at the HEY video. We'd seen it before but it still makes us laugh - my Mom said that would drive her nuts whereas my constant meowing never did!

    Hugs, Angel Sammy

  10. Geez, your condition sounds painful; do you go for regular lithotripsies, just to keep those stones small? Can you get a kidney transplant? Take care!

    1. It is sometimes painful, well...it is OFTEN painful lol. Yes, the regular lithos are to keep the stones a manageable size so that they can be passed at home without having to go to the hospital. Nope on a kidney transplant, I have MSK in both kidneys.

Sorry about the stones. I've known a few folks that have them, but nothing like you do.

  14. It's a real funny video.
I'm sorry about your kidney problem. My father has stones or what he calls sands. But he has it every 2 or 3 years. It's real painfull. I know that at the moment he is in pain.
But to live with this every day, must be a real hard thing.
I hope that your kidney will continue to work with no need for a transplantation.

Hope your stones got smashed to bits so you can get rid of some of them. Do they break up into sandlike particles??

Sure hope your pain is minimal by now. All that bruising does not sound like anything fun at all. Purrs and hugs! xox!

    1. thanks! Some are "sandlike" others are "chunks" this one was particularly bad. Each litho is different, my doctor said my stones in the left kidney were really bad this time....so...I have been paying the price the past few days.
