Exercise Your Prerogative to VOTE!
Here is an editorial cartoon my father did back in 1980 when he was the Editorial Cartoonist at The Plain Dealer that IS STILL APPLICABLE today......no matter WHO you are voting for, make SURE you exercise your prerogative to VOTE and if you don't, don't complain.
My human and her boyfriend are going to the polls together! There was early voting, but the lines were, like, a 5 hour wait. So they decided to do it on the actual election day because the polling place in our neighborhood is usually pretty chill.
ReplyDeleteMy Mom and Dad went this morning at around 9:30am. Right after the "going to work" crowd. Just a little bit of a line, all of the booths were taken. Paws crossed now.
DeleteI love the cartoon♥ Have a lovely day ♥
ReplyDeleteGreat cartoon and yes, voting is very important!

It's a big day today and I'm so happy that I've had the opportunity to vote...and do it early too! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteGreat cartoon--it perfectly sums up how a lot of people feel this year. Happy voting!
ReplyDeleteWe agree completely!
ReplyDeleteI already told Dakota that I'll be voting later today. So I'm telling you that I will be voting later today too Cody.
ReplyDeleteHave a purrfect day. My best to your wonderful mom. ♥♥♥
I was surprised that there was no line, but almost every voting booth was occupied. I walked right up to mark my ballot, but it was HUGE! Wished I'd taken one of the booths with a table and chair.
ReplyDeleteWe had a line but not a super long one, but we went at 9:30am which is kind of an "off" time. Every booth was occupied at mine too, I DID get the table and chair one, LOVED it!
DeleteLove it! Glad to know that many are voting ... Golden Woofs, SUGAR
ReplyDeleteI voted 2 weeks ago mailed it in, Buster does have 4 white paws and I adopted him at 3 months,he has a personality like you can not believe Have a good day
ReplyDeleteYay for voting! Awww Buster is like my Angel Bobo for sure! I KNOW he has a great personality! You have a good day too!
DeleteNice cartoon.
ReplyDeleteThat's what my human always says. Some people don't vote, and after they keep on complaining. They have no right to complain. They have to vote or to ... shut up !

Thank you!!! Your human is right and we couldn't agree more! "Vote or shut up!!" xoxo
DeleteThe Mom and Dad voted today and we all voted for Smoke and Joe!
ReplyDeleteYou're right, voting is so impawtant ! We hope that USA chose the good one ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteThe mom voted....she wanted to write in one of our names for President, but she didn't because she couldn't decide which one of us to write in.
ReplyDeleteHa!!! Good one!!
DeleteOur mommy and daddy voted. Glad this day is about over!
ReplyDeleteI voted! Great cartoon, too!
ReplyDeleteYAY!! And thank you!!
DeleteI'm off to vote in just a few minutes. And, I love your dad's cartoon. I would love to see more of his work, and yours!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Just Google Ray Osrin, you will get a TON of his work. There are some museums etc that have collections of his work. Doubt you will be seeing any of mine anytime soon! lol
DeleteYou tell 'em, Cody! We have done our voting here, now we're just hoping for the best (whatever that is - LOL). Your Dad was very funny!
ReplyDeleteYay about voting! Bloggers think that WE have it tough! My Dad was brilliant...he had to come up with TWELVE cartoons a day (for the editorial dept to pick just ONE for the next day)...he did this for 30 years. He won numerous awards! Editorial Cartoonists have a HARD job!
DeleteMy Staff says 100 voters in line on the sidewalk at our voting poll 9am this morn! Hoorayzatini and we luvs your Poppa's cartoon so so much!
ReplyDeletemommy voted the first day of early voting. in and out 8 minutes flat! xoxo
ReplyDeleteMy hubby and I voted :)
ReplyDeleteI voted. I did what I could, but the result is devastating. :-(
ReplyDeleteI agree. I am sick to my stomach. Trump didn't invent "hate crimes" but he has created a space where hatred of ANY minority is not only accepted, it is considered to be "normal." He is giving his followers "permission" to hate (as well as to attack) anyone who is different. I am afraid Civil Rights is going to take many, many steps backward. I will NOT respect that man.
DeleteWe voted, but our choice did not win. I hope we're proven wrong, but only time will tell.
ReplyDeleteOur choice didn't win either....I also hope we are proven wrong, but I am doubtful
DeletePetcretary says she can grumble all she wants...and that is because as a non-citizen she cannot vote...
ReplyDeleteSometimes she wishes she could exercise her opinion that way, however not at this time...
She snorts just a wee bit at those peeps who say they want to move to Canada...she just tells them the line about the grass being greener on the other side of the fence. Canada is no bed of roses either...
At least the sun still came up today and we are sure it will continue to rise each day:)
...no matter who we voted for, or where we live.
Sugar, you’re so adorable. So true about human. Many don’t exercise their preprogative to vote but complain too much. I hate it too. Love you Xoxo
ReplyDeleteSo what did you vote?
