Paws up for shelter pets!
ReplyDeleteWe could not agree more!
ReplyDeleteWe have 1 dog, 1 rabbit and 2 cats all adopted! Rescue animals rule!
ReplyDeleteYes, we adopted a shelter baby. No one wanted her and she knew it. We've given her all the love we have and she's given us far more. She's the best girl ever. We've had her for 12.5 years. We're hoping for much more time.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. Scritches to Cody. ♥♥♥
We are both adopted and we'll have mama write something up about how she won the lottery when she got us.
ReplyDeleteEmma and Buster
Us shelter grads totally agree!
ReplyDeleteWe're both shelter girls! That's the bestest kind!
ReplyDeleteI was a shelter pet! ~Ernie
ReplyDeleteWe're all graduates of he shelter system, and we give that a big paws up!
ReplyDeleteAll the kitties and most of the hamsters were rescues - from shelters, rescue groups, or off the street. Our Golden Retriever was adopted from the neighbor as they were looking for a new home for him. Each of them has been a treasure and a privilege to have in our family ... ok, maybe not the bitey hamster, but we gave him a good home anyway.
ReplyDeleteAnd the question in meowmy's mind is, how come if the shelters need to get homes for the furry ones they house, why then does ours make it so hard to adopt? Its like pulling teeth to get to even see any pup there, though it is a bit easier fur kittens and cats to be seen.
ReplyDeleteMeowmy and pawppy wanted to make an appointment to see a pup soon, and while we are already 'approved' they treat us as if we were incapable of owning a pup...sheesh...our dog-guy is 13, doesn't that tell them anything? And we had our one acre d=fences=d just fur this self-same dog-guy...are we not good peeps fur pups?? Grrr...wait...hisssssss, MOL!
Minko is a semi rescue...
We sure hope many many kitties and pups too and any other critters living in shelters find great new homes!
I took Mister Cat directly from the streets. He was about six months old when was abandoned near my workplace. I was working at my desk and heard a meow - he was so scared to be outdoors that he was trying to get inside the building. When I saw him it was love at first sight and I took him home with me :)
ReplyDeleteYay for shelter pets, great reminder!
