Hug Your Cat Day 2015

Yes, yes, yes, I KNOW that EVERY DAY should be "Hug Your Cat Day" but June 4th has been designated as "Hug Your Cat Day", I believe by "Days Of The Year.com"

Don't have a cat?
This would be the purrfect time to consider adopting one. There is nothing better than the unconditional love, joy and health benefits that cats bring to us (dogs and other animals do too, but this post isn't about them!), and they ask for so little in return. All they ask for is for us to love them, to provide safety, security, good food, toys, playtime, and regular veterinary checks.

If only others in our lives needed so little to give us SO MUCH!!

The photo below is of my Angel Bobo (sorry Cody, but you are featured here ALL of the time!). It is Angel Bobo who this blog was originally dedicated to back when it began in 2009. Bobo and I shared 18 beautiful years together. He passed in 2007 and I still miss him and think of him EVERY DAY. This photo is from the 1990s.

    Occasionally I get a bout of insomnia. On these rare cases, Buster would cuddle with me in bed (Emma in between or atop my legs) and I would find myself falling asleep soon as Buster settles in next to me :)

    neither of my kitties really like being hugged, but I do it any way for my own good! they prefer being stroked. but give Cody a hug any way from Jax, Ting and me.

    A lovely hug..and we have hugger and non huggers here so the non huggers get the smooches..oh and those that CHOOSE to spend this day on top of the second shelf in the wardrobe on top of two piles of suitcases..well what can i say..Panthers dance to their own beat :) Hugs to you Caren and to Cody and a special huggle for angel Bobo xxx

    Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar thinks it's great that it's hug your cat day, 2015. Penny says that if we tolerated, um, had a beloved cat, she would give it the best hug ever :)

    Loustiquette does not like big hugs.
    But whith Hisia it's 100 times a day or more. That's normal for an Abyssinian. Cuddling is a word that have been created especially for them !
    Nice picture. It's good to remember the past.

    Oh, what a sweet photo and such a great memory, Caren. Samantha doesn't really like hugs, but we had plenty of cats in the past that really did. They all have their own, sometimes stubborn, personalities! I hugged her today anyway! :)
