Just WHAT is CATastrophes? CATastrophes was created by Alana Grelyak (of the blog Cat In The Fridge) and Michael Gabriele, as a way of showcasing adoptable cats and shelters in a FUN way! We all get tired of seeing the heartbreaking videos of sad looking animals seeking homes, and more importantly, it has been discovered that those videos DO NOT WORK. What DOES help get the message out that not only do cats make great pets, (and great actors and actresses), featuring them in fun and happy situations actually increases adoptions!
From CATastrophes:CATastrophes: (pl) Noun. Any situation where cats appear unexpectedly, bringing with them the quirkiness, cuteness, and conflict that only a cat can bring.

ReplyDeleteThat is such a great idea. I hate those ads about the poor abused dogs and cats so a positive video is just the best and that is a great video. So glad someone is doing this. Hopefully it will mean more animals will get adopted.
