Are you ready for some Football? FELINE Football, that is! Hallmark Style! #HeartofTV

Today marks the OFFICIAL start to my Mom and Dad's most FAVORITE sport of the year! The start of the National Football League (NFL) !! I have been known to watch a game or two, or three...well, you get it....myself!! Kitties, did you know that:

The 2014 NFL season, is the 95th season in the history of the National Football League (NFL)!! It begins TONIGHT with the annual kickoff game featuring the defending Super Bowl Champions Seattle Seahawks hosting the Green Bay Packers.  (Mom is an avid Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions fan, she and Dad have season tickets to the Lions! So we don't care about Seattle or Green Bay, but we know our furiend Mario is a HUGE Green Bay fan! So we send he and his family a huge meow-out!)

Due to the ENORMOUS success
 of last year's Kitten Bowl,
the Hallmark Channel is at it again!

HALLMARK CHANNEL
 ANNOUNCES THE CREATION
 OF THE FIRST-EVER

‘FELINE FOOTBALL LEAGUE’
FEATURING THE WORLD’S MOST ADORABLE

 AND ADOPTABLE KITTENS

COMPETING TO PLAY IN HISTORY’S
 BIGGEST
 FELINE SHOWDOWN

‘KITTEN BOWL II’

Hallmark Channel proudly announces the inauguration of the first-ever Feline Football League (FFL), featuring the world’s most adorable, playful and adoptable kittens. The kittens will participate in season games for the chance to claw their way to the end zone in the 2nd annual classic, “Kitten Bowl II,” premiering Su-purr Bowl Sunday 2015. Which is Feb. 1, 2015!!!!! Super Bowl XLIX will take place  at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., home to the Arizona Cardinals.

Beginning this November, an FFL Scouting Combine will search for the most competitive, adorable and adoptable feline players before holding an exciting kitten draft. Once the draft has been announced, kittens will be placed into teams of their own colors, logos and mascots where viewers can follow regular season game highlights across Hallmark Channel’s digital and social networks — all leading up to the broadcast of the championship of feline football, “Kitten Bowl II.”

The FFL brings adorable—and adoptable!—kittens together with celebrities and personalities from all facets of the entertainment world as the kittens compete on obstacle courses filled with lures such as yarn balls, lasers and toys on string. “Kitten Bowl II” is part of Hallmark Channel’s corporate initiative “Pet Project,” a movement dedicated to celebrating pets and the incredible joy they bring to our lives.  The FFL and “Kitten Bowl II” will significantly raise awareness of the plight of shelter animals across the country as Hallmark Channel once again partners with North Shore Animal League America, who will provide the feline competitors with forever loving homes once the games conclude.

“Kitten Bowl II” will be executive produced by JD Roth, Todd Nelson, Adam Kaloustian, Brant Pinvidic and Jesse Drollette of Eyeworks USA (previously 3 Ball Productions) whose credits include “The Biggest Loser” (NBC), “Extreme Weight Loss” (ABC) and “My Cat From Hell” (Animal Planet), among others.

Hallmark Channel, owned and operated by Crown Media Holdings, Inc., is a 24-hour basic cable network that provides a diverse slate of high-quality entertainment programming available in high definition (HD) and standard definition (SD) to a national audience of 86 million subscribers. Hallmark Channel is the nation’s leading destination for quality family programming with an ambitious slate of TV movies; original scripted series, including Cedar Cove, When Calls the Heart, and Signed, Sealed, Delivered; specials such as Kitten Bowl; as well as some of television’s most beloved sitcoms and series, including The Golden Girls, The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, and Frasier. The channel is also home to Daytime Emmy-nominated lifestyle program, Home & Family, a daily two-hour live show shot in a fully functional house located on the Universal Studios lot. 12. Golly, Caren...I've lost my taste for the NFL, beginning with the Michael Vick arrest. I am glad the Hallmark Channel is putting kittens on TV; that is certainly a good thing.

  13. Soccer is in Europe what football is in the USA. Mum is absolutely not into soccer, and tried once or twice to watch football but didn't understand anything at all. She prefers from far the Kitten Bowl, that is much more cute, thrilling, and have no complicated rules, so go go kittens ! Purrs

    1. Thanks so much Timmy!!! In November they start "recruiting" the kittens and people can follow on Facebook! Thanks so much! OMG Mom used to LOVE Joe Montana (I think all women did!) Mom is a Browns fan and a Lions fan! Also, Mom used to live in Pittsburgh when she was a little girl so she likes the Steelers too (as long as they aren't playing the Browns!) Love, Cody

  26. Thanks for the good wishes for winning. Sadly, they lost and really have a lot of work to do. It's easy to see why Seattle is the champions - they played that way during the game with the Pack too. Sorry we've been missing lately, M's back is a real problem, so she lays down frequently during the day and only sits in her office chair for short periods of time.
