Happy Birthday To YOU Dr.Seuss!

This post first appeared on March 2nd, 2013....I think it is going to make an appearance on EVERY Dr.Seuss Day! 

Today is the day,
it's truer than true,
today is the day 
we tell Dr.Seuss
"WE LOVE YOU!"
We GRATEFULLY
THANK GLOGIRLY DESIGN

Mom first discovered Dr.Seuss
as a child of age 4,
When she would "read"
she would shout
"I want MORE!"

is a date to be remembered
evermore! 

Write it on your wall!
It is  the birthday
of probably the most
popular children's book author of all!

He wrote Mom's faves,
oh how she  LOVES those green eggs!
Mom's first long word,
that she ever read,
it was in one of Seuss's books
and at age 6,
 Mom figured it out
just by using her head!

It is only appropriate on this
most special day,
that we wish 
Dr. Seuss the HAPPIEST

    What a wonderful post!!! We are big Dr Seuss fans here! ... though Glogirly apparently was asleep at the wheel and forgot what day it was! ...oh well, we do have a limerick with some rhymes! ; )

    We love Dr Seuss and we also love Cody in the Hat! What a great graphic.
    Our mama learned to read with Dr Seuss books too, her favorite is Horton Hears a Who.

    Dr. Seuss - one of the all-time great writers - combined fabulous drawings with amazing stories....captures the imagination of kids and adults alike and always will ! Cody you look great with that hat!!!! I posted my photo in the TCC this morning......guess who I was.....why SAM of course!

    Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!!! I am and always have been a huge Dr. Seuss fan! Since childhood. I still have quite a few books from my childhood, and my kids love them, and read them as I did!
    He was a great man!

    We love your post! And Cody, you look fantastic in your hat!!

    Oddly, although the Human was a great reader as a child, she missed all the Dr. S books and only saw them later in life--she was a kid in the '50s and early '60s & thinks the books were around them--she can't imagine why she never read any of them. Maybe she was a little too old for them when they came out?

      Hi Spitty! Well my Mom was born in 1955 (she is older than dirt MOL!).....The Cat In The Hat is the first book she remembers "reading" at age 4 :)
