FROM CAT CHAT WITH CAREN AND CODY: I have always enjoyed Astrology from the standpoint of reading about the characteristics of signs and seeing if they pertain to me or people in my life. I have TONS of books that I have enjoyed reading that also shed light on this issue.
I was tickled when I was contacted by my new friend Sunny, asking if I would like a compatibility guest post done where she would discuss my Sun Sign and Cody's. (I am born on the cusp of Libra and Scorpio so for me I would do both signs, but Sunny focused on the Libra aspect which is fine with me!)
Enjoy the guest post!
Sometimes, you just know in your heart when you’ve met your purr-fect pal. There’s that certain little pull at the heart that a pet parent feels when they meet their kitty companion that they will love forever -- through clawed draperies or blissful afternoons curled up on the couch together “making muffins.”
Whether you call it intuition, fate, or kitty kismet, the stars often align for an animal and their human to find one another. While a fluffy tail or calico pattern may scream “take me home!” to some, the intangible qualities of compatibility can also be found in the astrological signs of pet parents and their beloved fur kids.
Cody and I on his adoption Day! July 28, 2007 |
Let’s take a look at the zodialogical compatibility between Caren and her cat Cody. We’ll offer an overview of Caren and Cody’s sun signs and the role their astrological signs play in their relationship with one another.
Libra: Fair, Balanced, and Charming to a Fault!
Caren’s birthday falls on October 20th, making her a Libra. Those born under the sign of “the scales” have an innate sense of justice and fair-minded nature -- always willing to play the role of peacemaker and diplomat in any situation. Their natural charm and gift of gab allows them to finesse their way through a variety of situations and crack even the toughest nut and coax them towards seeing the bigger picture. At their core, Libras are people-pleasers and dislike stepping on anyone’s toes -- which, as endearing as this trait may be, can also be their greatest weakness. Libra can come across as wishy-washy sometimes, but others should never mistake this sign’s kindness for weakness.
Aries: A Pioneering Spirit
Born on April 1 (April Fools!), Cody is an Aries. Represented by the astrological sign of the ram, Aries folks are full of energy and eager to pioneer new and exciting things. Whether it’s being the first to climb to the top of the bookshelf or to tear into the community food dish, Aries is always at the front, leading the charge. Aries is ruled by the planet Mars, which accounts for much of this natural-born drive. Like Libra, Aries has a talent for attracting people to them. They’re also strong-willed and intelligent. (Ironically, many of these Aries traits apply to cats, in general!)
One of Aries’ problem areas is that he is stubborn -- which can be a bit of an understatement when it comes to this sign. Aries has strong convictions and often holds their ground, even if they know they’re wrong. With gentle coaxing, however, Aries does eventually come around and their dynamic nature lends some more
LIbra and Aries Compatibility
On the cosmic astrological wheel, Libra and Aries sit on opposite sides and appear to be polar opposites. However, the term “opposites attract” is highly applicable to this zodiac partnership. Aries and Libra are both incredibly charismatic individuals, however, they take a different approach to how they deal with people. When these two signs get together, Aries has a positive influence on Libra in that they push them to their limits -- in a good way -- and shake them out of a state of laid-back complacency. Libra’s gentle, diplomatic ways persuade Aries to see things from a new angle and push aside some of their selfishness. Aries truly balances Libra out!

How cool!
ReplyDeleteWe didn't know that Sunny did Astrology!
Very interesting... Just about every really special person in my life has been an Aries.
My mom, my best friend, her mom, Gloman...the list goes on.
My dad though was a Virgo. He was my hero.
: )
GG
my ex husband was an Aries, one of my nephews is an Aries, my sister is, my Grandfather was. I am surrounded by them! lol
DeleteI had a reading also that I posted today. Great minds think alike because we are choosing the same dates for some of our posts! MOL Anyways, sounds like you and Cody's reading is a bit like mine and Shiner's. We are also opposites!
ReplyDeleteyep I just saw it! Too funny! I used to always be doing that with Ingrid King, now we finally got out of each others' heads...now you and I must do the same lol!
DeleteMy human and I are both Cancers, which I find weird because I think we are NOTHING alike! She is moody and annoying, and I have awesome leadership qualities.
ReplyDeleteMy Angel Bobo was a Cancer. He was the most special cat ever. He was my "soul kitty"...Cancers are sooo sensitive!
DeleteAnother post about this topic ,we shall call this day horoscope twesday
ReplyDeleteAnd you will see A TON more since many of us are blogging about it. That's what you get for reading a CAT blog. lol. My dog has a complex that you refuse to visit his.
DeleteWe saw that on Anns' and thoughts it was fun. A nice balance of traits. Have a terrific Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
add Ann and a zillion other bloggers who are featuring them :)
DeleteWhat fun! Rudy is a Libra and that fits him to a "T." Ditto Jeffie, who is an Aries. I'll have to go checkout Ann's :-)
ReplyDeleteWell Miss Caren and Cody, Mom and I already knew that you two were the purrrrrfect match!!
ReplyDeleteKitty Hugs, Sammy
I have always found astrology fun! A typical Gemini and her dogs
ReplyDeleteAhhhh changeable Gemini!!
DeleteWhat a neat idea! I always think of cats as being multi-astrological. - from your Aquarian friend.
ReplyDeleteJobi, they are :) Just like we are!
DeleteThe Aries Cat with a Libra Mom... You know I had to check this one out as I am a Libra Mom and my soul-mate kitty, Zoey, is an Aries! I am as true-blue a Libra as they come and Zoey is a true-blue Aries - intelligent, energetic, and a born leader describe her to a tee! Even though she is the tiniest cat in our house, she still rules the roost! I enjoyed this informative post and am happy to be part of this great Aries/Libra pairing!
ReplyDeleteOh Deb you ARE a "true blue" Libra! I have noticed that those born in late September and early October ARE. I am NOT! I am a Libra to the core in reference to being fair, logical, analytical and loving the arts/beautiful things, but the rest of me? Being born on the cusp I am SO MUCH MORE like Scorpio and my outgoing nature is like my rising sign, Sagittarius. Cody IS SOOOOOOOOO ARIES like your Zoey! He is fearless....he is Aries to the core! xoxo
Deletewow that was interesting! I would love to find that stuff out about my pets and I! How neat!
ReplyDeleteso glad you liked it Jenna! I linked to them in the post, feel free to contact them!
DeleteHey Cody, we share a birthday! I was born on April 1st too!
ReplyDeleteNoodle
I forgot to mention, my human is a Libra too!
ReplyDeleteAgain, Noodle
OMC NOODLES! Can't believe we are born the same day! No wonder my Mom LOVES your Mom so much! And now I see why your Mom is so brilliant! MOL! Love, Cody
DeleteMommy is a Libra! And boy does she have to play peacemaker with 7 kitties and 1 doggy! Hahaha.
ReplyDeleteI am AMAZED at the number of bloggers who are Libras! It is unreal! xoxo
DeleteGreat post! My mum is a Cancerian and I'm Taurus.
ReplyDeleteGreat post. Very interesting. Since I am not exactly sure when any of these cats were born, it is hard to say whether we will match or not. But interesting stuff. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI love this type of post. I guess the two of you complement each other well ;-)
ReplyDeleteme too :) We usually do, unless he is stalking me for food :)
DeleteThat is really neat, Caren and Cody! We adopted Moosey, Gracie and Zoe when they were all older, so we don't have any idea about what sign they would be. But we would totally do this if we did! :)
ReplyDeleteWe knew your guys are a purrfect fit. What a clever marketing idea. As you know, I do kitty astrology at my blog and at Catster but maybe it's time I branched out.
ReplyDeleteBoy, did she did a wrong number in your horoscope. You are NOT a weak person. You are more the pioneering person. I still don’t believe this stuff and ironically, she contacted me today. I’m glad you are compatible.
ReplyDeleteCK read what I wrote to Deb Barnes who IS the quintessential Libra. We are all made up of different signs. If you read what I wrote above to Deb, it is much clearer. I am more like Scorpio (because I was born on the cusp)...and my rising sign is a fire sign (Sagittarius) ...fire signs are more dynamic and pioneering.....I am way more like those two signs than my sun sign for sure!
DeleteI wonder what they would say about Oui Oui & me. I am a Leo & she is a Taurus. On the surface it doesn;t sound like a match. Thank you for your good wishes for Lilly. She has her $600!
ReplyDeleteGreat news about Lilly! I DID tweet her! Financially right now for us, and so many others, is the PITS!!! You are Fire and she is earth...she probably grounds you :)
DeleteInteresting post Caren! Cody an Aries, he must be a strong individual for sure! I can see what you say about the Scorpio influencing your Libra, very cool! (I've had my chart done so I know all my specifics, my rising sign is Cancer and Clooney is a Cancer. My moon is Pisces and Inka was a Pisces and so is Neytiri.) Scorpio influences my Virgo sun and my first cat Doogie was a Scorpio!)
ReplyDeleteas a scorpio I wonder what you'd say...
ReplyDeleteThat is a GREAT photo of you and Cody. He's so teeny-tiny.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what sign I am. The lady is a Scorpio. And, she once got stung by a scorpion. She says it hurt.
Aww thank you! He was just a little guy! Just over 12 wks old I think. Can't believe he was so little, but then again, he isn't really a large cat. He is much smaller than my previous cat was.
DeleteFun post. You two sound like a purrfect match.
ReplyDeleteSue B
Very interesting!
ReplyDeleteGlad that the Astro-reading said that you two are a purrfect match !
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Hey Caren! That is a neat post you have there!! Sounds like you and Cody where made for each other :)! Its so odd how at times horoscopes seem to be so right. I'm a scorpio too, and just like my scope says I get along really well with Capricorns which strangely also happens to be my Hubby's, and Joker's sign!
ReplyDeleteI would like to thank you for your sweet comment on my blog! I really do appreciate it! <3 Hugs, Francesca
