What many don't know is the Philippines has a large illegal market for dog meat. Half million dogs are killed a year. This would be a great story for you to write about https://awionline.org/content/illicit-dog-meat-trade-philippines
There is a big Filipino population in the Bay Area, and a lot of Filipino teachers and students at the Human's school. Some of them have not yet heard from family members--everyone is super-worried. Thanks for doing this. XOXOXO
This is such a sad situation. We're purring that the animals get aid as well as the humans from this terrible tragedy.
Thank you for your kind words in our blog comments about our having to give our kitten, Beau, back to his foster family. The support of the blogosphere has been tremendous, and it has meant so much as we have been heartbroken to lose Beau from our family.
We pray for all of those that need help and we hope aid is getting through now.
ReplyDeleteHave a super Saturday.
Best wishes Molly
Thank you for sharing this, Caren and Cody... our heart breaks for all the humans and creatures of the Philippines. Purrs from the Zee and Zoey Gang!
ReplyDeleteWe sure hope all those animals get lots of help, the poor things. Have yourself a great week end.
ReplyDeleteWe wish them luck.
ReplyDeleteWishing them luck with all their fundraising.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you published this cuz we were wondering how we could donate $$ to help. That organization does do a wonderful job.
