  1. It is good to be prepared. Thank God we don't have hurricanes here, only heavy thunderstorms. Purrs!

  2. Luckily for us we have never had any real hurricanes in Belgium. Touch wood.

  3. Touch wood we don't get full-on hurricanes here, as a rule. Though we do get the tail end of them sometimes.

But sometimes I worry how I'd manage in an emergency, with no vehicle and no way to transport the cats to safety (other than taxi).

  4. Thanks for the reminders...now that hurricane season is HERE, everyone needs to be aware of their options and what to do in case of disaster.....I'm just glad we live on a hill so we at least don't have flooding to worry about!

  11. It IS so important to have a plan in a hurricane, that includes the pets. Though hurricanes seldom come our way, we have had to contend with two in the past 2 years and had to make plans in case of evacuating. Fortunately we didn't have to.

  15. Thank Ceiling Cat we don't have hurricanes and we don't get any warning for earthquakes. Sigh. We hope for the best!!! The Human wasn't home for the 1989 one, and when she finally made it home a couple hours later, BooBoo was curled up sleeping on the bed covered in plaster dust from the part of the ceiling that fell. The Human didn't think she ever even moved, MOL! Well, she was kinda old (19) and deaf....so she just looked up at the Human like, WTF you screechin' about?
