Great idea about the signs. Can't keep candles high enough to keep Jami kitty away from them; he's a pawsome jumper and nosy. They just have to be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
MizzBassie my Angel Bobo used to be the same way. One time his tail caught on fire. Thankfully I was there and caught it right away, he was fine. This year I used a battery operated Menorah. I ADORE candles but I use tealights so that they sit in deeper containers. That way, nosy noses and tails don't get into them!
Mom says this is a DARLING book.....super sweet story for kiddies (and kitties). Also some very good things to keep in mind for the holidays when it comes to keeping and staying safe!!
Yes Sammy it most definitely IS!! We were thrilled when we had the chance to review it, some months ago. We just love it and are happy to share it again! ((((hugs)))) Cody
Those are all great reminders. We are on HIGH HIGH alert here! Waffles TOO is into EVERYTHING! I was NEVER this crazy when I was a kitten. That boy better learn some manners FAST. ; ) Katie
Maxwell: Yup. Safety first. Momma barely caught me before I took out the menorah (the only time they lit it this year, and 3 humans on watch too). I uhm...kinda singed my whiskers...
We agree that safety is always the first thing we think we think of and Mom gave up flamed candles in lieu of flameless cause she knew better with us around! MOL!!!
Excellent that you have posted up all these safety points. I shall proceed and mention your article via the various social network sites. Ah yes, that looks like an interesting book. Perhaps Penny the Jack Russell might read it to me.
Here's to you and your loved ones having a most peaceful Christmas.
Those are some really good tips. With two kittens in the house the only tree is a small one on a counter top. No anchor would stop these two. That looks like a good little book.
Hehehe sounds like fun and games there,xxSpeedy and Rach
ReplyDeleteNo holiday goodies! I do not agree! I say that humans should fix cat-friendly goodies ONLY!
ReplyDeleteSparkle that is a great idea!

Katie you are hilarious!!!!!!
DeleteKatie, Waffles has orange fur, doesn't he? Carmine was sooo crazy when he was a kitten!! I've found that the orange babies tend to be that way :)

ReplyDeleteOh noooo! I hope you are ok!

ReplyDeleteFlameless is DEFINITELY the smart way to go!
DeleteSafety first. Also keep those snow globes out of kitty's reach. They contain anti-freeze and can kill kitty within hours.
ReplyDeleteGreat reminders! Well, all except that last one. That last one is an OUTRAGE!!
ReplyDeleteMOL
