I seem to recall that Nellie just has a close call during a short trip.... *giggles*
There are fortunately some great options for boarding where I live, including cage-free dog boarding. But it's important to reserve early. If you haven't done so yet, you should get on the phone NOW.
Charlie Coal is gonna be one of the 3% who get a new collar & a little surprise gift of a snifter of Catnip-after all I'll be having a snifter of Irish Whiskey post lunch!
Thanks for all the info. We prefer to stay home rather than travel. We keep watch to make sure there are no evil introoder kitties trying to get in our garden.
Aunty Caren, We usually have cat sitter comes to the house when Mama and Dad travel. We love Uncle Amir to bits as he spoils us rotten...compared to Mama. teeheehee.... purrr...meow!
@ Cat from Sydney we do the same! We have the sitter come here. I am glad that Uncle Amir is super nice and spoils you!
@alone with cats, my Bobo had a stocking too!! Cause his Daddy was Catholic :) It was the cutest stocking...it was a BEAR! Oh wait! He had a plaid stocking too! He had two!
WE don't do any traveling other than a few walk abouts around here where we live. Great post. Thanks for the info. Take care. Hope Cody is all right and has pooped.
Very informative post!! Howz Cody today? Rosie is still hacking hairballs.Gave her the sticky goopy OMIGOSH RUN FOR YOUR LIFE med she hates and hopefully it will help. I almost suspect she snuck a snoot of garland when I was gone!! Have an AWESOME Friday! Hugs from Sue and Hackie,I mean Rosie!!
@Sue, Hi, I hope Rosie doesn't throw up hairballs too much! Nope, still no poop. I put a teaspoon of pumpkin in his food about an hour ago...this morning I watered down his food...if the pumpkin doesn't work tonight I am going to try it again around 5am to give him time to try and go before I have to call the vet at 8. They said if he doesn't go I should call them in the morning :(
@Marg, we don't travel much either...in the unlikely event that my husband and I are gone at the same time we get a pet sitter to come to our house which is ALWAYS a friend and someone our boys are familiar with. Nope no poop :(
Great post! Thanks for all the wonderful tips. Me loves to travel and will be doing some of that this year!

@wockley share some of that Whiskey please...I had a HELL of a week and it isn't over yet! lol
@Stacy and Ellie, me too!
@rumpydog, I wouldn't do the "boarding thing"...my boys are too close to do that. I always have someone come in and stay here :)
Teva and Isabel totally have a stocking! It's the only decoration I put up for the holidays. It was a gift from grandmother to grandcats.
