hehehe CUTE video, with fabulous soundtrack! :) Happy G Day for you all, I like a lot your "cute friend", he is curious outside! purrs Luna - We love LUNA
OMC, we'd have a stroke (so says the mom) if we saw a groundhog! That cat was so calm! Maybe it's a daily occurrence for them. LOL.
We don't know if any groundhog will be seeing his shadow today...certainly not the groundhog in Ontario (Wiarton Willy)or the one in Nova Scotia (Shubenacadie Sam)! It's a NASTY snowstorm day!
Wow dat groundbog certainly was brave to come into Kitty's yard with kitty sitting right there. I was afraid dey would get into a fight, and am certainly happy they did not. Happy Groundhog Day.
@Mario he sure was! No worries, if they had gotten into a fight I wouldn't have posted it xoxo
@Kea lol at what your Mom says! That cat sure WAS calm! It is actually GOOD if the groundhog does NOT see his shadow...that means an EARLY Spring!! YAY!!
@Diane, me either!
@Luna I LOVED the soundtrack too! Happy Groundhog Day!!!
That's really interesting, Caren. Thanks for sharing the information as we wouldn't have known about it if you didn't tell us because we live far away from the States. Anyway, I know most doggies hope the winter can be longer and snow can be deeper but the humans definitely think the other way round. So I hope the goundhog knows how to make the doggies and humans happy at the same time : )
@Abigail lol, Cody would freak too! You are welcome and I am glad you liked it!
@The Whiskeratti, we can only hope there is an early spring, right?
@Sammy and Andy, so glad you liked it!
@Priscilla thank you! You were one of the people I thought of when I posted it. I thought not everyone would even be familiar with Ground Hog day so I am glad you liked it! Dakota was just out in the snow and it scared the poor thing, it was so deep and he is small he was hopping like a rabbit lol. I should have videoed it! xoxo
Oh my Cod! I watched this with my eyes open WIDE and my paws on my cheeks! I yelled for Sam to come look and he said that thing was even bigger than he is! Then he said, "Are you sure that's just a movie?" Why does he put things like that in my head? Mom said this was just the best video! xoxoxo
I don't believe in Ground Hog day, but since the results today showed an early spring, I think I might have to become a believer, (or just keep my fingers crossed!)
Yowza, that thing is HUGE! (The groundhog, not the cat, LOL). I'm not sure what my cats would do if one came right up to them. Probably run into the house as fast as their little legs would take them.
What a cute video...I've never seen a groundhog that close before...they are kind of cute :) So thankful Phil did not see his shadow...bring on Spring!
That video is amazing. I cannot believe those two were so near each other and stayed so calm. The groundhog seemed to not even notice the cat and the cat just watched. Just amazing.
heh..heh..heh..Caren, Seems like that groundhog didn't see the cat at all !!! But the cat's expression is so funny, he didn't know what to do as he wanna say What's the... ? in my backyard !
@Mr Puddy I know!! lol. He didn't know what to think! I am so happy to make you smile! xoxo
@Catsparella I think so too but keeping my paws crossed that we have an early Spring. It is sooooo windy and snowy today, bring on Spring! xoxo
@Scrappy Grams I can't believe that the cat just sat there either! Maybe he has seen him before? lol
@Mumsy, Chancy and Company...like I just said...maybe they have seen each other before! ((((hugs)))) to you and Scrappy Grams
@SuziQCat, let's hope that what Phil says is the truth! ((((hugs)))
@Julie THANK YOU!! That just totally made my day! I am not feeling great and the weather is so bad, thanks for making me smile! So glad to have you! (((((hugs))))
@Canidae, I wonder what Cody would do as well. He is so friendly and nosy he would probably go right up to it! ((((hugs)))
@Hilary, I'm with you! I have never believed either but this year I think I will take the leap and trust him! xoxo
@Benny & Lily, we can only hope! xoxo
@Luscious Lucy, awwwww thanks so much for your most descriptive and enthusiastic comment! You made me laugh!! So glad you enjoyed it! xoxo
@Carolyn, lol! A lot of people liked it but I didn't! lol!!! Ohhhh nooo! I am sorry your buffering was going nuts! I am having an awful time with Road Runner today, am wondering if it is the weather. Yes, smart cat!
@Amin Hi! You are welcome! I am so glad I was able to introduce you to a Groundhog!! :)
@Trixie-Lily-and Sammy Joe---nope, that isn't Cody! Cody doesn't go outside...glad he doesn't, wouldn't want him to meet that groundhog!
Awwww the groundhog is so adorable!! Really really cute!! Awwww! That sweet kitty is amazingly and thankfully very laid back about it all!! Lovely!!! What a great clip, thank you! Me and Charlie think we understand a little about groundhog day now! LOL!!
We loved your article over at 40Moms!! It's so important to stress the responsibilities that go hand in hand with having a pet.
SO SO CUTE! Best choice of music too! We have lots of Groundhogs around here in the spring and summer. I just love them. I take pictures of them whenever I can. I seen some babies once and they seemed tame, they kept approaching me, I don't think their mama liked that.
Sorry, I haven't been here in awhile. I am so busy lately. And I have so many blogs I visit, lol..I'm sure you understand...only so much time in a day unfortunately. I always love what I see when I come though. Thanks for your kind words! :)
@Admiral Hestorb my mom said to tell you that she is INCREDIBLY EMBARRASSED and needs to go and hide under the BED HERSELF!! OMC sometimes she just can't keep everyone straight...you know she is sooooooo sorry and soooo embarrassed!!!! Why she associates you with Australia I'll never know but she is a little "off" if ya get my drift! Love, Cody
@Brian...YAY! I hope that means we will have an early Spring!
@Yvonne THANK YOU!!
@Not Just Another Mother Blogger I'm not quite sure what the Groundhog is up to either! So glad your son enjoyed the video!
@Stacey and Ellie, my dog probably would have been afraid of it! lol
@houndstooth...Phil didn't see his either in PA so we will all keep our paws crossed!
@Kitty Stampede thanks so much for stopping by! OMC do I EVER understand!!! It takes hours and hours (as you know!) to read all of the blogs that you and I follow and sometimes it makes me soooo nervous! I do my best too and know that somedays I miss some (unintentionally) so I am very, very flattered that you stopped by! THANK YOU!
Well! As IF!! That poor kitteh was ever so tolerant of that Introoder onto his territory! At least the Introoder was not interested in the kitteh's food. Hey--he can have all the darn grass and flowers he can eat. Step right up to the plant buffet, chum! Leave me my Fancy Feast!
@Spitty he sure was! I didn't see any food out there did you? "Step up to the plant buffet" lmao!!!!! I love it!! Thankfully Ground Hogs don't like Fancy Feast! lol
The cat just can't believe that the groundhog has the gal to come on to his turf! And the groundhog doesn't give a damn about whos turf he's on either! Brilliant! Love the soundtrack as well. Thanks for that one x
Dat ground hog was huge!!! Momma says she never seen one dat big in da wild but she thinks dat maybe they don't gets too big out here in So Cal. Not sure what I would have done, probably run MOL

ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteThank You very much for this video!
I saw these animals the same time in the firs time in my life.
Groundhog day is one of my favourite films of all time!!!
ReplyDeleteLoved the video, well what I saw of it. My non-favourite word of the day is "buffering"!
The cat thought it best to watch and wait. Good idea lol
@Carolyn, lol! A lot of people liked it but I didn't! lol!!! Ohhhh nooo! I am sorry your buffering was going nuts! I am having an awful time with Road Runner today, am wondering if it is the weather. Yes, smart cat!

That cat looked at the groundhog and decided that even if it was a rodent, it was too big to mess with!
ReplyDeleteThat was a great guest post - I forwarded it to my human, with emphasis on the part that said she is supposed to clean my litter box TWICE a day!
I was seeing shadows everywhere! Those were two mighty calm critters!

ReplyDeleteBunny
Lol, that is hilarious! Brave groundhog - my dog would have continuously pawed at it by now haha
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute video! My son loved it, although he wasn't sure what the groundhog was up to.
ReplyDeleteLove the video!
