It is COLD in Michigan today. Bitter COLD!! I slept til 8:30am which I NEVER do and even the "boyz" are tired. Full fledged winter hibernation has set in....
Wake us up when it is Monday....ok?
Cody sleeps on the top of this chair so much there is a permanent "dent" in it!
Even Dakota who is normally like a kangaroo on "Red Bull" seems to be "down for the count" today!!
You guys have the rightt idea - it's the only way to fight cold weather. M has had to turn the heat up lately, which means she'll grumble big time when she has to pay the bill. Geesh, I hope she doesn't cut back on my kibble to pay for the heat!
Hi Caren Pretty sleepy around our house too. My hairy slobbery sisters is snoring, so is Daddy and the brat is hiding under the covers on the bed. Me is going back there too as soon as me finishes...
Little One is curled up on a comforter on the sofa, but Gum Drop thinks I need help with my typing so she's sitting on the desk observing. Hope it warms up a bit for you.
Isn't it so nice to sleep in though :) Jon and I both slept over 10 hours!!
I just saw the Blog Paws badge on your blog, I didn't know they had made a badge for that already -- I will be going so I'm looking forward to meeting you! :)
@Mario your Mom would NEVER sacrifice on kibble for heat!! Your Mom would go WITHOUT HEAT for kibble! I know your Mom! xoxo
@Stacy and Ellie..yes it is nice to sleep in but I am one of these people that it throws my day totally OFF! I am a control freak and it makes me feel totally out of control. Yep BlogPaws has a badge!! Ohhh it will be so great to meet you! :)
@Brian, you got it my friend!
@Admiral Hestorb hehehe (about Dakota! lol!!) Trust me, it is the TRUTH! But we love him. Cody just stares at him with an expression of complete disgust when he gets like that!
@Coffee Slut, sorry to say my friend, it won't! We were in the 40s (actually 50s!) the other day. It is coming your way! Wow what happened with all of the snow that you got? It must be flooding!
@Mason "Gum drop" I love that name!! Aren't kitties great "supervisors?" Won't be warming up here for quite some time :(
@Penelope, hurry before the Brat gets your spot!! xoxoxo
Its always fun to see where a cat will nap for a while. Only our old British Short Hair, Gwynnie has her own "always sleep here" spot. The other two can be found anywhere.
Oh so the right thing to do on the 2nd of January!! I for sure would have stayed in bed all day if it wasn't for some hungry stray kitties awaiting their breakfast :-) Big hug... - your story of New Year and Bobo made SUCH an impression on me.
Marc and I slept until around 8:00 yeseterday... i don't remember the last time that happened...We felt like we lost half the day. Alex on the other hand was none to pleased with us.
I know what you mean about those Michigan winters. My hometown is Midland. What part of Michigan do you live? I live in Nashville now and our winters are pretty mild...usually. We did have a white Christmas this year. It was lovely to see the snow on the trees just like when I was a girl growing up in Michigan. Your cats are adorable! I know my Alice hates to be cold. She sleeps under the covers in the winter!
@GodsLittlePeople, you are sooo sweet! Thank you! You are also an Angel to feed those stray kitties! xoxo
@Michelle...small world! I am in Farmington Hills but mostly grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. Moved to Michigan in 2001. Ohio winters were no better though! Thanks about my kitty! Awwww your kitty sleeps under the covers? Too cute!
@Sparkle too funny! That is ok, it is all in our frame of reference and being in Cali 50 must feel cold to you! :)
@Hilary, I can't believe Alex allowed you to sleep that long! My husband got up earlier that is the only reason I was able to do it. He fed the "boyz"...I know what you mean about feeling like you "lost half of the day" that is exactly why I hate to do what I did!
It's been pretty chilly here, too, aside from the 70 degree day last week (which was super duper windy, but to ask for no wind just seemed greedy). I've definitely slept like the dead with this cold weather, which has been soooo nice!!
We had a 2 day warm up here in Bucks County but the cold returns tonight. The only thing we miss is opened windows and the deck but we have deep windowsills and our catwalks for playing and snoozing. Our Mommy LOVES the Christmas season and is sad that in 4 days the 12 days of Christmas is over, the tree goes down and the cool train gets packed away. Till then we will be snoozing under the tree watching the train go by.....Have a healthy and Happy New Year!
There's nothing like hibernating from the cold on a Sunday!! Me and Charlie think sweet Cody and lovely Dakota have today all sussed!! :-) Stay warm!! Take care x
Forget about Monday! Just wake us up on the first day of Spring! Actually, it was yesterday that we all slept like crazy. Darned cold meds! Today was much better for all of us!
Haha, our little ones Indi and Tosca have commandeered the piano stool from Yoda cat - they're lucky his backup spot is Mum's lap! I almost wish it was cold here today - it's the middle of summer and today is muggy and hot! I mean, if it was sunny and clear I wouldn't mind...but it's muggy, ugh!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011 !!!! We hope you all stay warm!!! Snoozing is good. We kitties love to do that :) heehee Wishing you happiness, health and prosperity this year :) Purrs Mickey,Georgia & Tillie
Wow what time do you usually wake up? I wake up at 9:00 am but I usually go to bed well after midnight. I'm not a morning person. I hope you had a nice rest.
@Spitty...lol, yes a "woofie!!" He is fluffy and cute but....I know what you mean!! lol
@Mickey, Georgia, Tillie, thank you!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR to you too! Thanks for your wishes I wish you the same back at ya!
@Peggy lol!! During the week around 6am...always got up at 5am for over 26 yrs til my husband retired this summer. Now he won't allow me to set the alarm til 6. I am often up til midnight and get up early! I am a true morning person. I love the morning. The time of day I do NOT like is afternoon....how are you feeling?? So glad to see you here! email me!
@priscilla they are just getting ready to go to bed again! lol. They are waiting for me to post my next blog (which I am doing now) and then I am gone. Good Night!!!! Love ya!

Thoughts in Progress
It's 41 degrees here this morning in Massachusetts and my fur-babies are sitting in an open window. I'm sure it won't last ...
ReplyDeleteI LOVED those descriptions especially for Dakota!!
ReplyDeleteSnoozing until Monday sounds like a plan to us!

ReplyDelete@onemixedbag, Cody is the same. Lately this is his new "go to" spot. I am sure he will be changing it again...soon!! :)
ReplyDeleteHey, when it's cold out, what better to do than fnd a warm, comfy spot and snooze?
