Years ago Bobo was having a bad day. It was back in the 90s so I don't remember exactly what he was doing, but I know I was at my wit's end.
Believe it or not when Bobo would be having a bad day, getting into everything, having the "crazies" for hours on end, I used to use the "time out" method that parents use for their kids.
I would pick him up, put him in the bedroom and let him calm down for never more than about 5 or 10 minutes. (Even Kitty Mamas have bad days too you know!) If your pet doesn't occasionally get on your nerves, guess what? You're lying!
Then, I would open the door, pick him up, ask if he had thought about what he had done, cuddle and kiss him and start anew. (Just call me the "Jo Frost of the kitty world")
On this particular day it didn't work. I grabbed my bandana and a bunch of kitty toys and treats, wrapped them up and told Bobo if he didn't change the "catitude" I would adopt a kitty who would be more appreciative and he could pussyfoot on out! (OF COURSE I was kidding! Bobo and I shared a most wonderful 18 yrs together)....but even the BEST of love stories hit occasional speed bumps!
aww...Bobo...he sounds like he was your best pal (in spite of! BOL) Bet you really miss him! Mom had Bubba for 18 years - she loved him silly.
ReplyDeleteAnd Mom uses time-outs here, too -- for Rascal! He gets them for a LOT longer than 5 or 10 minutes, though, he's a baaad boy sometimes!
Haha! I tell my cats stuff like that all the time!
ReplyDeleteIt is always wonderful and sweet when you recall those days! Nothing is a big deal anymore after days and years but this actually becomes something special that we treasure it a lot in our heart.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing that moment of Bobo with us!
I do have a lot of that kind of 'days'!!!
haha, you got some cool cats I must say!
ReplyDeleteawww.. Even furry critters have bad days :) Did he take the hint and shape up? LOL
ReplyDeleteWhen Moby was younger he used to get the "Night Crazies" and race around the house. His eyes all big and mischievous and cute.
@CindyLu, yep he sure was and YES I miss him terribly and think of him virually every day. (I also have his ashes here in a beautiful wood urn)...Bobo is always here! I had Bobo 18 yrs as well. He was my only pet during that time so I think for him it was a better situation than Cody has (attention-wise)
ReplyDeleteI am glad to see that I'm not the ONLY one who uses "time outs" lol!! Amazingly I have NEVER used one for Cody...go figure! Thanks for stopping by!
@Not Just Another Mother Blogger, YAY!!! Another person who isn't all sweetness and light all the time! Happy you stopped by!
ReplyDelete@Priscilla I think your nature is basically MUCH calmer than mine is! I can tell! That is why Eva isn't manic like my Dakota is! lol xoxo
ReplyDelete@Joel, thank you!!! I was certainly blessed with ALL of my "boyz"!!
@Alittlesprite, lol!! Ohhh this was waaaay different than the "night crazies!" This was the ALL DAY CRAZIES!! lol..........."night crazies" I can deal with!
ReplyDeleteDo you know that Cody NEVER has the night crazies....I am starting to wonder if he is normal...lol
Cute! Mommy had a very crazy cat named Desdemona that would always get the 'crazies' when she was sleeping. She had to close her out of the bedroom after awhile! We are very well-behaved at night because we don't want to lose the bed!
ReplyDeleteOh my we get the crazies around here too and when we hear Mom saying very loud and norty words, we head for under the bed or chairs until she calms down a little. She is the one that needs the time out. LOL. It is fun to remember our old guys and gals. Hope you have a super week end.
ReplyDeleteThis post made me smile... I used to do "time outs" with my dog....or just leave the house if she caught the crazies....
ReplyDeleteI think he is a lucky boy, and cute!
ReplyDeleteI love kisses and cuddles!
purrs and a nice weekend for you all!
Luna
Yep... I can tell you and Bobo had a great bond between you two. Great post.
ReplyDeletepawhugs, Max
@The Monkeys LOL (and thanks!) I also thank you for reminding me of the times I had to close poor Bobo out of the bedroom too for the EXACT same reason!!! I had forgotten! xoxo
ReplyDelete@Marg you are exactly right! It was probably ME who needed the "time out" more than dear Bobo lol. Yes it is fun to remember them! Hugs to you and have a great weekend!
ReplyDelete@Hilary I am so glad that you enjoyed it! OMG don't get me started about a "time out" with our dog!!! lol. He needs them ALL THE TIME but there is nowhere to put him (other than his crate and he is too "hip" to that now)....we don't allow him in the back rooms...that is designated as a "Dakota-free zone" for Cody lol
ReplyDelete@Luna yes he was a very lucky boy but I was even luckier to have had him in my life! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDelete@Max, thanks so much! We sure did. It was truly special (as you had with Max)....the vet used to mention it all of the time. xoxoxo
I loved reading about Bobo. He reminds me of our Katy long ago. Our babies are trying sometimes. But we love them deeply- so we live with it.
ReplyDeletexox
he he- M says she's had days like dat - but never with me - no never never never!! he he I'm purrfect all the time.
ReplyDeleteAwwww I'm too soft!!! I wouldn't know if my cats of past and my present kitty were having the "crazies" or not! LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteAnyway!! I think my cats give ME time outs!!! LOL!
Sweet Bobo's just wonderful! Take care
x
What a beautiful tribute to Bobo, who after all was just acting like a kitty!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAs senior kitties ourselves, we are so happy to hear you had 18 years together....and if we both look back to when we were younger, we could probably remember our mama threatening us also....:)
xxxxxxxxxxx
Special memories will always bring a smile to the heart, even the ornery ones!
ReplyDelete@Admiral Hestorb, I am glad that Bobo reminds you of your beloved Katy, that makes me happy. Oh yes even if they are "trying" I could never imagine not having had any of them in my life!
ReplyDelete@Sammy and Andy, thank you! Yes he was but he was acting like a very bad one lol! He knew I would NEVER let him go! xoxo
@Mario...that's right! "never with you!!!!" MOL!! Actually since you are so polite I kind of think that might be true! xoxo
ReplyDelete@Old Kitty I can tell you are super "soft!" lol!!!! Yep, I am the one who DEFINITELY needs the frequent time outs!!
Thanks all for your fabulous and fun input!
@Brian lol! Yep you have good insight. I have been feeling SUPER ORNERY the past 2 days and I think that is what started the thought process!!! I haven't been feeling ornery towards my babies...just generally! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
ReplyDeleteOne of the cats who came before was called Maxie and we always said he was ruled by the moon because he would suddenly go absolutely wild for no reason!
ReplyDeleteExcuse,for the last post comment..
ReplyDeleteI wanted write the "video" but did mistake and write the "music"
You know that I do not know the English very well.
If your pet doesn't occasionally get on your nerves, guess what? You're lying!
ReplyDeleteIt was so nice to read this, I almost thought it was just me. Nicki used to get a time out a lot, now it's occasionally. The water bottle comes out a lot, though, or slippers get thrown--usually it's Nicki and Annie fighting that does it. And frankly, when I'm overtired or PMSing or just have had a really cr*ppy day, I don't have a lot of patience for the fights. Time outs gives us all a chance to cool down! :-)
@Amin, no problem, I COMPLETELY understand! :)
ReplyDelete@Kea, THANK YOU!! I often think it is "just me" as well so I thank YOU for your affirmation! I don't use the water bottle or slippers (however when Bobo was young I used to use the coins in the bank trick...). Yep time outs are good for ALL of us!! Thanks for your support! xoxo
@Hannah and Lucy now I HAVE heard that animals (as well as people) are affected by the moon (the full moon as you mentioned) So I bet that is what was going on with Maxie.
ReplyDeleteWe used to say it at my old job too "that we could tell when it was a full moon"...they say the "crazies" come out four days before and four days after the full moon. I have been having a SUPER "off" week....is there a full moon nearby?? :)
LOL!! I love it! That's probably how Zoe feels right now - she's going to pack her bags and find her a home where she doesn't get in trouble all of the time!!! But you're so right. There are days where I have wanted to just toss each of my cats out on the street (well, except Fuzzy, she's never bad), but you get over it, hug them, and all is well again!
ReplyDelete@OKcats I am so glad you were able to stop by because when I read your post today I KNEW you would relate to this! lol!! Poor Zoe!! I soooo understand! Yep, we get over it and we NEVER, EVER stop loving them! I neglected to mention that when I would do the "time out" and I would kiss Bobo upon his release...I used to SMOTHER him with kisses and coos and cuddles...not just tiny pecks!! I used to feel sooo bad that I had put him in a time out! ((((hugs)))) to you and Zoe! Thanks for taking the time to read this today! :)
ReplyDeleteHa ha! Reminds me of some of my times with Dakotah (my Malamute mix with whom I shared sixteen wonderful years). It would storm and he would jump out a second story window (miraculously without harming a single hair on his head, let alone breaking a leg or killing himself) and be waiting in the driveway when I got home, soaking wet and just wagging his tail and grinning and happy as heck to see me. BTW, this happened more than once! Animals are unpredictable - guess that's one of the reasons why we so enjoy living with them!
ReplyDeleteTucker's Mom
@Tucker's Mom ohhh you made me laugh! You had a Dakota too??? (mine is spelled differently but he is equally as crazy! Maybe it is the name? lol)....ours is a Sheltie...wow...16 years with a dog, that is amazing and you were truly blessed!
ReplyDeleteYou were also blessed that your Dakotah made it 16 years after continuously jumping out the window!! I wonder why he did that? Other than he couldn't wait to see YOU!
Thanks for sharing this adorable story! xoxoxo
Funny, TW is always showing me the door. She'd prolly open it up too if she didn't have to answer to Pop. Hope she loved me like you liked Bobo.
ReplyDeleteOh Caren, that's our Emily to a T! She is ALWAYS into something and sometimes she just sits there and barks at us because she wants us to stop whatever we're doing and pay attention to her! I am tring the "time out" thing... she's such a beautiful, delightful girl, I don't want to crush her enthusiasm, I just want to teach her to calm down for awhile! BOL!
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to what you're talking about - my one cat Lola has had a few time outs of her own in our bedroom when she starts driving our other cat Gidget nuts. It seems to be the only way to calm her down, then a few minutes later I open the door and she's either asleep on the bed or up on her window perch. It certainly doesn't seem to bother her any and it does the trick. I'm so glad you had 18 wonderful years with Bobo- it's never enough time though is it
ReplyDeleteBobo don't you just love keeping mom busy, BOL
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Us cats are a bit too old for the crazies anymore but we do get grumpy and fight with each other. Mom just yells Hey hey hey and we know she means business.
ReplyDeleteCody, do you want join the Kali's Club ?
ReplyDeleteIf you agree, I'll copy a photo of you on your blog ?
Kisses.XXXXXXX
Kali
Hehe, awesome! All that's missing is a harmonica! Who doesn't need to be given a timeout now and then? :) Our Pixie does a 10 minute sentence alone in the bathroom several times a week. A repeat offender, for sure.
ReplyDeleteThat picture is hilarious! Dad threatened to run away once and his mom packed his suitcase for him, but told him not to bother going to Grandma's house because she'd already called her.
ReplyDeleteBunny
My Timmy is 10 years old, and he still gets the "night crazies" at times, lol!
ReplyDeleteThis made me laugh. And it's true - I love my cats dearly but they have their moments.... when I'm holding Leia because she wanted it, and then she uses me as her launching pad, leaving deep scratches.... When Toby wants me to get out of bed and keeps knocking things on the floor to wake me up, or tromps all over me with his 20 something pounds.... yeah. LOL!
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm...I am not letting my dad read this. He doesn't need any ideas!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute story! Of course at the time I am sure it was frustrating. One of my cats, Peanut has discovered the paper towel holder and when I am not in the area, he like to unroll the towels.Cats are amazing you never know what to expect from them.
ReplyDeletehahahha...what a cute story! Bobo sounds like a ham. My Turtles used to be so bad before we got another kitty, he used to get into what I coined "Egyptian Demonic" mode..and I would always be freaked out by him. He needed to get out his energy so he would go nuts..but since we got Tuna he's turned it on her, but now she kicks his butt..lol.
ReplyDeleteI do TGIF Kitties most fridays..hehe..we can share. ;) what better way to celebrate a friday then some crazy felines.
Have a Great Weekend!! :D
" Bobo , occasionally get on your nerves ! "
ReplyDeleteCaren, Don't you find that attractive ?
All Moms are the girls.
And the girls always fall for the occasionally bad boy : )
xxxxxx
Puddy
PS : I really love to get to know all of your kids. Thank you for this post
I'm a hardcore cat lover, new follower of your blog. I gotta say, no matter what kitty blog posts I read or cat YouTube videos I watch, it makes me realize like everyone's cats are so much alike. I love it! The crazies drive me mad, we live in a small apartment, I can't take it!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet story, Caren! Yes, I can certainly relate to that. With three cats of my own, I often feel 'swarmed'.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, you asked about becoming a LOL-Cat. All I need is your permission to copy pictures from your blog.
I usually just do LOLs of your own pets. Perhaps you can send me an email with the names, ages and breeds of all your pets. I haven't had time to read through your blog yet, but this would make it easier for me.
You can email me at: wendyslolspot@hotmail.com

Mom Boom
Oh, isn't that the truth! Bogey wants to be smack in the middle of whatever I'm doing, and believe me, he's no help at all. Yep, time out is often just what the doctor ordered.
ReplyDeletePat
www.critteralley.blogspot.com
@Cathy, I didn't just "like" Bobo...I was insane about him! (still am!) But I know what you meant! So good to see you! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDelete@Pat lol! I love that name "Bogey" I once had a friend who had two Schnauzers named "Bogey" and "Bacall!"
Hi Wendy! Thanks!! I am going to email you right now! Oh I am following your blog, I love it!!! Thanks much for visiting us!
ReplyDelete@Ally thank you for being a new follower! I so appreciate it! I also love when I read other blogs that I follow, how everyone's cats are so similar. I know what you mean about having limited living space as well. We are in a 2 bedroom condo...my first apt (where Bobo mostly grew up) was a 1 bedroom so I totally understand!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a pleasure to meet you!
Mr.Puddy that is EXTREMELY true! maybe the reason I like you so much is you are a "bad boy" too! You are right about the Moms liking the bad boys!!! I always dated the "bad boys" when I was young, they were my very favorites!!
ReplyDeletePuddy you are one insightful kitty! xoxo
@Kitty Stampede "Egyptian Demonic Mode" I love it! Actually Bobo wasn't a ham...he really preferred my company to anyone else's. If someone came over he would often hide. Cody is the complete opposite...Cody IS the ham!
ReplyDelete@Cherie, thank you! another cute name "Peanut" sooo cute! Ohhhh yes kitties love the paper towel holders! Cody thankfully doesn't go on the counter and I keep the bathroom doors shut so I am ok with all of that. Thanks much for visiting!
ReplyDelete@Wyatt, lol!!! You are a good kitty, no worries! Bobo was too but he had his moments! We won't tell your Dad, we promise! Thanks for stopping by!
@Butchy, etc....thanks for proving the full moon theory! I think there is tons of truth to it myself!
@The Whiskeratti OMC Leia and Toby sound EXACTLY like my Cody! Cody will have me hold him and then dig his claws into my shoulders. I have to say "put in the claws!!!" while gritting my teeth in pain lol. He also is notorious for knocking things over to wake me up! Bobo's favorite thing to do to wake me up was to sit on the dresser by the window, rattle the Venetian blinds, all the while watching me to see if I would stir!
ReplyDelete@mom2acat so cute about Timmy! Whether they are 10 or whether they are 18 I think they are all still kittens at heart! xoxo
ReplyDelete@Bunny OMC that was funny! I love how they told your Dad not to bother going to Grandma's cause they had already called!!! Too funny! xoxoxo
@Weetzie, thanks for validating that I am not alone! lol. The "repeat offender" just cracked me up!!! Poor thing must live in the bathroom!! Sooo cute! Thanks for sharing that adorable story!
@norma c...I would LOVE to be a member of Kali's Club!! Thanks so much!! I am honored!!!
ReplyDeletexoxoxo Your pal, Cody
@cats of wildcat woods, OMC my Mom does the "hey, hey, hey" thing too!! She sounds like "Fat Albert!" MOL! Love, Cody
ReplyDelete@Benny & Lily, yes when Cody was alive he did like to keep me busy! lol
@Yvonne, if you find a way to quiet and calm down your Emily...PLEASE SHARE!!! Our Dakota is soooo loud! Being a Sheltie he barks at anything and everything!! Let me know how it goes! xoxo
ReplyDelete@Chris I loved that comment. Your Lola sounds a lot like Bobo was. Most of the time he would sleep on the bed or also be looking out the window. There WERE times though when he would be right at the door when it opened. So Gidget doesn't have to have time outs?
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, there is "never enough time"....the 18 yrs went by sooooo fast!! ((((hugs))))
Oddly enough, my human wishes we were a little crazier!
ReplyDeleteSparkle that is exactly how I feel about Cody. Lately he has been staying on ONE chair...he is soooo lazy!
ReplyDeleteArggghhhh, I feel a case of cat crazies coming on. Is that anything like the sudafed sillies?
ReplyDelete@Mrs.Tuna...MOL! Yep which is also like the Claritin Crazies!!! lol
ReplyDeleteMom says she's glad she's not the only one who thinks this way!
ReplyDeleteOh our mom says we get on her nerves sometimes...but we don't care!!! Heehee!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot. I get time out's in the bedroom when I go crazy barking at people! Schnauzer tend to me a little sassy!
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar
This got our mom thinking...often times Pip is a trouble maker and gets time outs in her room...other times when our mom is tired and not up for our antics, she gives herself the time out, mol!!
ReplyDeletePip, Smidgen, Minnie, and Hollie
So funny! I have always talked to my animals like people. And I never gave any away either!
ReplyDelete:) We call it having the Friskys. (The feeling not the food). Want to tear around the house for no reason? Go for it.
ReplyDeleteAnd Hi.
Cody is going to be a member of the "Kali's Club", the next week, on saturday 15.
ReplyDeleteKisses,
your friend Kali !
@Laila and Minchie and my Mom says SHE is glad that SHE isn't the only one who sometimes thinks this way! Love, Cody
ReplyDelete@Norma Yay!! Thanks so much! I am excited!! Love from your friend, Cody
@Artist and Geek-"want to tear around the house for no reason?" (I like that lol) Thanks so much for stopping by!
@Art and Sew Forth, I ALWAYS talk to my babies like they are people! Aren't they? Wait! No! They are BETTER than people! Nooo I would NEVER give any away!
ReplyDelete@Cara I love reading about so many of you who do the "time out" thing too! I agree much of the time it should have been ME having the time out!
@Oskar I would love to do that when Dakota barks too much but unfortunately I made the bedrooms a "Dakota Free Zone" lol
ReplyDelete@The Island Cats, said like a TRUE cat "we don't care!!" lol!! Cats could care less if they are on our nerves!
Aunty Caren,
ReplyDeleteWhat? Time out? It doesn't exist in a cat's world. Mama would just ignore us (the whole day sometimes) whenever we put on a catitude. I'll just reciprocate. purrr...meow!
@Cat-in-Sydney lol!! you truly DO think like a cat!!! xxoxo
ReplyDeleteI think there are ups and downs in a long life together. But I think they all become a good memory :-)
ReplyDeleteHuman nerves? Pfft. As if I care! You know what? SHE gets on MY nerves, MOL!
ReplyDeleteHi Caren,
ReplyDeleteWes gets times out at our house. Wes gets put in the little warm room where our litter box is. Me kindof likes times out cuz the hot metal thing in the floor will often blow warm air and me LOVES to get warm.
Hi! We're here with the Saturday Pet Blog Hop! So, did packing up your kitty's things work? Did he get scared and start behaving himself? Or did he call your bluff?
ReplyDeleteHi Trixie, Lily and Sammy-Joe nice to meet you and thanks for stopping by! I honestly don't remember, it was so long ago lol. I doubt he was scared because he was a cat and they don't get insulted lol.
ReplyDelete@The Cat From Hell of course you like the time out!! You silly kitty!! I KNEW YOU WOULD! lol
@Spitty, spoken like a TRUE CAT! lol
@Tamago...soooo true! I adored my Bobo (and still do!) I have fabulous memories of him!
Thanks all for stopping by I so appreciate you reading my blog!
My Molly and I had a wonderful 18 year relationship but on more than one occasion I told her "pack your bags!"
ReplyDelete@Cat awwww you and Molly were like Bobo and I!!! (((((hugs))))))) A woman after my own heart! lol
ReplyDeleteHi there Caren,
ReplyDeleteI came by to let you know that I spotlighted your blog today on TTWFI. Your button will be displayed on my header for one week. Thanks for all the support you've given to TTWFI; without regular readers like yourself TTWFI wouldn't be where it is today. :)
You can find the post here...http://thethingswefindinside.blogspot.com/2011/01/in-spotlight-sundays.html
Marie
mummy regularly says "Jasmine, you are the naughtiest kitten I have ever had - come here you little cutie". Hoomans are strange
ReplyDeleteMarie Hi!!
ReplyDeleteI am soooo honored and flattered! THANK YOU! This couldn't have been more timely. We all get our "dejected moments" and I have been feeling rather down about my blog for a few days and this surprise completely lifted me up!!!
I am honored and I THANK YOU!!!
Have a wonderful day/week!
xoxo Caren
Princess Jasmine lol!! We can just never make sense out of them can we? Love, Cody
ReplyDeleteHee hee... this really makes me giggle. Bobo sounds like he was a real character -- how fun that you get yo share your memories of him here.
ReplyDelete@Angie I am glad lol! Yes Bobo was...but most of this occurred when he was a really young boy...probably under age 7. I don't remember having to give him "time outs" when he was older but I certainly needed them just from being ME! lol
ReplyDeleteYes I am happy to be able to write about him when the mood hits :)
Yes, Caren, I too am very sensitive to the moods of my cats … Zeb is now 19 years old. I’ve had incredible moments with Zeb, too. It happens I "growl" him like a child when he is in his bad days, running like a crazy cat on my desk and destroying the work of a day, overturning all my pages !!! A story that nobody really believes : one day he was very upset by a cat that we kept for friends. After his departure, he began to urinate in the basement along the walls, I did not know what to do, I spent my day, mop in hand ... That lasted a month, every day, I screamed when I went down to the basement. Then, one day, a little more desperate than usual, I took him gently in my arms, we went down to the basement together, I showed him his litter and with a very calm voice, I explained that it was in it and nowhere else he must do, I showed him the spots where he was wrongfully. I shaked my head with sadness and said to him : "bĂŞtise" (in English ?), a word he understands !. He looked at me a long time, eyes half-closed, then he lowered his head. I gave him a kiss on the nose, he went on as if nothing had happened, and, overnight, he never remakes elsewhere else than in his litter. Unbelievable, huh ?! I hope I have some few intense moments like this one with my old beloved cat before he pass away… I hate to think the day when I’m not be awakened by his whiskers and his little pink nose rubbing against my cheek, when I fall anymore asleep to the sound of his humming, when I’m not be completely stiff in the morning because he has slept on my legs, when I wake with a stiff neck because it has pushed my head from the pillow to settle for the night ! Bobo was surely a fantastic cat !!!
ReplyDeleteColibri
Bobo was... obviously ! But my friend Cody IS, surely !
Zeb(ulon)
@Colibri that was a wonderful story! (BTW your English is wonderful!!!) I loved reading that and I thank you for sharing it! You proved that cats know and FEEL much, much more than many give them credit for. Your story touched my heart. We all have special moments with ALL of our cats...don't worry...you will have many "intense" moments with yours! xoxo
ReplyDeleteAwww, I sure would have loved to have met Bobo. Cats are such superb little characters and company - even when they throw their entertaining little tantrums :-)
ReplyDeleteBig hug
Both my girls (Sophie - dog; Elora - cat)drive me nuts sometimes! I am able to give Sophie a time out, but Elora decides when and where she is going at all times! :) Loved this post! :)
ReplyDeleteMy mommy is soooo unobservant. She came back a few minutes ago with me and that's when she FINALLY saw the little hobo stick and bandanna with your toys for when you hit the road.
ReplyDeleteYou sweet baby!
@Gods Little People thank you! You would have loved him, he wasn't into people though (only people he knew very well) My Cody though is super friendly! Cats are "superb little characters and company' even when their MAMAS are throwing fits! lol
ReplyDelete@Andrea so you have one dog and one cat like I do? I wish we could give our dog a time out but we can't. Our Cody has NEVER had a time out! But I love how your Elora "decides when and where she is going at all times" Thanks so much I am so glad you liked it!
@Admiral Hestorb...you aren't unobservant! You have more important things on your mind and that is COMPLETELY understandable!! xoxoxo
Great post... I totally understand. Even those we love can bug us from time to time!
ReplyDeleteHi! Thanks for visiting our blog! There is one other way you could follow us if you want... We've just signed up for Twitter, and our blog updates will be Twittered. If you have Twitter, our ID is TrixieLilySammy. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen Harley gets too wild chasing me around, he can get relentless and never stops and I start growling and hissing - Harley goes into "time out" too! He only stays for a few minutes also, and he is much calmer when he gets out.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDelete@pup fan, thank you!! Especially HUSBANDS!! lol
ReplyDelete@Trixie, Lily and Sammy-Joe, you are welcome and thanks for visiting mine as well. I am on Twitter but I am not on there a lot. It really would be great if you had a way to follow via email :(
My twitter name is @catchatcaren
@Daisy you are smart to start growling and hissing when Harley gets out of hand. I bet that scares him! Yep! They are much calmer when they come out! xoxo
@Amin, you are welcome!
Hello Caren,
ReplyDeleteYou aren't the only one who puts cats in a time out, believe me! Our 20 pound cat, Buster, loves to pester our 11 pound cat, Henry, until he wins his prize; Henry's warm seat. At the moment of the takeover fur flies and hisses get louder and louder until either I or my fiance have to get up and grab Buster and then Buster gets a mini-lecture and is banished from us until he learns his lesson. However, he has selective memory and repeats his tortuous acts again and again!
@The Teacher's Pets...ohhhh Buster likes to push his weight around! I think the operative words that you mentioned are "selective memory" lol! Purrfect description of cats!
ReplyDelete@Puddy, Puddy!!!!! I just saw your comment about the labels! It went into my "spam" comments and that is why I didn't see it because I don't always check the spam.
ReplyDeleteI think your suggestion is a good one but I don't know how to do it.
I will have to look at your blog tomorrow (I am going to bed in a few minutes) and see if I can figure it out.
You can email me if you want at cgittleman at mi dot rr dot com with how to do the labels.
If you don't mind!
I am not real good at technological things!
Love you Puddy and I am not upset at all!
Thank you!
