The roof at the Metrodome where the Minnesota Vikings were scheduled to play the New York Giants today at 1pm, has collapsed!!!
Being a cat with clout I was able to
Lions=felines which=cats which=cat blogs (huh?) which is what this is and I live in the Detroit area, hence the importance of this post!
We hope that a lot of our friends from Minnesota (Angie from Catladyland are you listening??) will be able to make it!
Safe travels and welcome to
The "D!!!"
Go Lions Panthers Bengals Jaguars!!!
ReplyDelete@maestrorules....and....BROWNS!!!! (I am originally from Cleveland!!) (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteWe are rooting for the Miami Dolphins! Go 'Fins!
ReplyDeleteYikes. I am a Dallas fan.... lol
ReplyDeleteI'm for all cats.... Yes, let cats win at football.
ReplyDeletepawhugs, Max
John was just telling me about the game being moved to Detroit! I'm not a football fan, but he is. If it were closer, that would be really fun, wouldn't it? We have family near Detroit and hope they will be able to make it.
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny -- love this post! Smooches!! xoxo Angie
The picture is beyond cute!
ReplyDeleteOh that roof collapse was horrible. You kitties look adorable in your helmets and I am surely glad you were not playing in that stadium when that happened (or anyone fur or human)
ReplyDeletexoxo
Oh, and go Falcons too (cats like birds, right?)
ReplyDelete:)
We're rooting for da Bears!
ReplyDeleteSorry that their dome collapsed and all the blizzards as it hits them hard every year.
ReplyDelete@Daisy, my brother is rooting for the Dolphins too because he lives in Miami! :)
ReplyDelete@Feline Frenzzy-I play fantasy football picks with HGTV (it is free....I think I picked Philadelphia so rest assured Dallas will probably win!)
ReplyDelete@Max, I love it! lol
ReplyDelete@Angie, Ohhhh if it were closer that would be sooo much fun! I do love football and so does Lenny. They are giving the Minnesota/NY fans dibs on the premium seats when they come tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteFor the Detroit fans they are having FREE ADMISSION! Lenny was going to go but we are supposed to have more snow tomorrow and the same frigid temps as you (and the game is at night) so he just decided not to go.
The only thing I am going to do tomorrow is go out and start my car (I didn't use it today) and that is about it!
One day if you ever come and see your fam near Detroit you will have to let me know!
I am so glad you liked this!! Love ya!
@Hilary thanks so much!!
ReplyDelete@Admiral Hestorb you are sooo right and that is important to be mentioned. Thank goodness nobody was on that field when the roof collapsed...you are such a thoughtful kitty!! xoxo
@kelly lol, yep cats like birds! lol. I think I picked the Falcons today too...I will have to check!
ReplyDelete@Katnip Lounge, I love "da Bears!" and I picked them and they are getting KILLED right now (which I am sure you know!) The weather in Chicago today is exactly what we are getting right now in Detroit...the very first football game I ever went to was the Browns and Chicago (I was about 12 or so and my Dad took my brother and I) and the weather was just like it is today!
@Great Granny, yes that is so true! I did hear though that this was the biggest storm the Minnesota area has had since the 90s. They DO get a lot! We get pretty whammed in Michigan too but they get it worse.
ReplyDeleteYes! Erm. Cats!! Cats and doggies should win at everything!! Yay!!
ReplyDeleteAhem. Take care
x
Go Lions! Go Lions! ROOOAAAARRRRR!!!! Ooops....cats in helmets...I thought I saw lions. Eyes playing tricks. purrr...meow!
ReplyDelete@Old Kitty yes they should! You take care too! xoxo
ReplyDelete@Cat-In-Sydney, the major miracle was the Lions DID win today (which is a very, very rare thing) Too bad I didn't pick them to win in my pool!
Wow... that's going to be one major clean up! poor things!
ReplyDeleteI go for Lions as well, but here they are the Brisbane Lions and the game is AFL!
I've never watched a football match, ever. Simba has watched football here in England but never seen American football. We are both excited about watching and looking forward to having a hot dog nom nom nom
ReplyDelete@Alittlesprite, yep that will be one heck of a clean-up!
ReplyDeleteLoved your comment about the Brisbane Lions!! rrroooooaaaar!!!
Is the AFL like rugby?
@Princess Jasmine, are you going to watch football tomorrow?? I asked cause you said you are "excited about watching"....will they show it there?
ReplyDeleteYesssssss hot dogs are sooooooooo tasty!
Oh, our poor Lions are a saaaad team!
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar
Oskar they ARE but they actually WON today!!! lol
ReplyDeletexoxo
M talked to her friend today that lives in St. Paul. They got 28 inches of snow. That's a lot of snow. I'm glad their team got to play anyway.
ReplyDeleteMy Goodness,
ReplyDeleteyou are totally into the football field~~
We heard about that too but we're glad the game will be played in Detroit. Way to go Lions for the great game today!
ReplyDeleteHey lady thanks for your awesome comments on my blog! People didn't believe me when I told them the metrodome collapsed -- You'd think they'd have planned for heavy snow when they built it, seeing as we're in Minnesnowta! ;) Thanks for welcoming us to Detroit!
ReplyDeleteCats and football, that's interesting.
ReplyDeleteThose cats with helmets are really cute! May be I should let Eva and Mika try it too, LOL!
Kind of, but they don't tackle, and if you don't know the rules the game appears to have NO rules..lol, they also wear less clothing, and are generally way cuter than rugby boys... MEEEOOWW!
ReplyDeletenote: wearing less clothing I mean their shorts are tighter, and their shirts have no sleeves, so you can ogle their manly arms.. heheee!
That is a great pic. Those are very patient marmalades.
ReplyDelete@Mario, they didn't play YET...lol...the game is tonight and we have bad weather in Detroit! Not as bad as Minnesota was hit but temps are below zero, high winds and some places got a foot of snow....we only got about 5 inches.
ReplyDelete@michico, alrighty then!
ReplyDelete@The Monkeys, thanks but don't give Detroit TOO much credit lol. I am sure they had to agree with it but I am sure the powers that be (NFL) made the main decision to play the game here. We are the closest enclosed football field to Minnesota and NY and I am sure they are paying Detroit to have it here :)
@Emma you are welcome! thanks for stopping by! You are right, "you would think they would have planned, huh??" You kill me with "Minnesnowta!!" I sooooo love it! You are most welcome and glad to have ya!
ReplyDelete@Priscilla oh yes!! Eva and Mika could run and run with their helmets! lol
@Alittlesprite, I love it!!!! :)
ReplyDelete@The Whiskeratti, I never heard of that before! Do they call kitties "marmalades?" Sooooo cute! :)
Appropriate! Funny! We should have had you around a few years ago for our "special seasonal blog" the NFL ... National Feline League. I'll email you the Detroit Lions rep!
ReplyDeleteCaren (Cody & Dakota)... thanks for hanging in there with us; we've done very little visiting lately & the human hasn't even had time to update her blog roll to add all our new friends like you! It's a new years resolution for sure!
Got snow? Make a snowcat!
@Zoolatry, OMC "National Feline League" I would have LOVED THAT! Yes email me what you were mentioning.
ReplyDeleteYou are sooo sweet! Are you kidding me? Please do NOT apologize!!! You are BEYOND busy and I completely understand and never even gave it a thought!!! You are a doll, and am so happy that I met you!
Love the "snowcat" idea....might have to try it one day, PURRFECT IDEA!
Orange kittehs are sometimes called marmalades. Or gingers.
ReplyDelete@The Whiskeratti THANK YOU! I LOVE THAT! I had never heard of either expression and I love learning new things! I think "marmalades" is adorable for orange kitties! I would love to see someone name their orange kitty "Marmalade!"
ReplyDelete((((hugs))))
That collapse was so crazy! Good thing they are still able to play!
