I always like William Blake's "Tiger Tiger". I can prove it how much I love it as it's one of the poems that Rosie had to learn when she was a little girl. I know, poor thing!!!
@Priscilla, "Poor Rosie!!" is right!! That had to be an incredibly difficult task for a child to learn that poem. I neglected to say for those who are not familiar with the poem that obviously there are more stanzas....but...you get the point! Thanks sooo much!
Great pix, Caren; they put a big grin on my face! (And no wonder Cody loves his tiger buddies... they're so cool!)
You can always tell when someone really "gets" cats by looking at pix taken in the house... there'll be multiple cat-friendly pieces (from fancy cat-specific furniture to big, cozy heaps of blankets and pillows, arranged not for any particular aesthetic beauty, but for kitty's comfort), in positions of great prominence. Homes with cherished cats are just happier, comfier places! :)
@GlamKitty..thanks so much! Actually this room was the "sports" room, Cody's room and my husband's computer room (til he got a laptop) My poor husband had to sit there with the kitty litter lol. Since we are in Detroit we have the Detroit Lions and the Detroit Tigers...that is how the Tigers started and they were perfect for Cody! When I used to just have one cat and no dog I had cat things EVERYWHERE! Now I can't because our dog tries to eat the cat toys etc so Cody has to have his stuff in an entirely separate area. We have a condo which translates to NO ROOM! I would LOVE one of those really laid out cat towers but just can't afford it. I would put it in our bedroom! lol There is definitely NO "aesthetic beauty" in my home! Just dog and cat fur! xoxo
Cody, Do you know that tigers eat cats? Just because we are cuter and nicer than them...*winks* Oooh...wish I could just curl up next to Cody. purrr....meow!
@Mario thank you! Actually the poem is much longer...I just wanted to include a little bit since it is supposed to be "Wordless Wednesday"...I am not very good at keeping words out lol
@Cat-In-Sydney ohhhhhh you are soooooooooo mean!!!! (kidding!!) Yeah I bet you "wish you could curl up next to Cody"........NOT!!!!! lol, no Tigers are gonna eat my kitty for lunch!
