My husband and I were commenting the other night about how Cody always lounges on chairs that appear to be rather "throne-like"...he has done this since he was a kitten.
When I adopted Cody back in 2007 his original name was "Prince". My husband has often said we should have never changed his name.
Based on these photos I think he has a point:
|
"Prince Cody" on his throne with his royal "subject" in utter awe
|
|
"Prince Cody" has always known he was a "Prince" |
|
"you will bring me my dinner and you will bring it NOW!!" |
I think "Cody" suits him better. Although I bet he believes he is still a "Prince"! lol! Cute photos!
ReplyDeleteCody knows a good thing when he sees it!
ReplyDelete@Alittlesprite...I think "Cody" suits him better too. When I adopted him the adoption volunteer heard I was going to name him "Cody" and said "Oh no! Every Cody I have known has been CRAZY"....I told her I wasn't worried about that....well....she was RIGHT!!! lol
ReplyDeleteHaha so royal!
ReplyDeleteI like 'Cody' better although he is indeed a prince at home!!!
ReplyDeleteGo go go, Cody!!! You're the PRINCE!!! Tell your subjects to prepare you more treats, more toys and to play more with you!
@Goldie, yep he sure does! :)
ReplyDelete@Ryan lol!
ReplyDelete@Priscilla I do too...(shhhh...sometimes DAKOTA is more of a "prince" as you know!) Nooo no more treats, he can have more toys and yes he needs more play time!!
LOL! Those are wonderful! I love your button. I'm going to post it on my blog right now.
ReplyDeleteI think we all deserve a throne.
ReplyDelete--Jasper
You're a very regal looking boy, Cody!
ReplyDeleteMum good says I am a bit naughty sometimes - was your Bobo naughty too or a good kitty?
ReplyDeleteIs Prince Cody in charge of your household and tell you all what to do - our mum says she's the maid in our home!!
What cute pix of Prince Cody!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove from us.
Our pets certainly rule the roost, don't they? Sir Cody rocks!
ReplyDeleteCody does look like a prince! He is so royal:)
ReplyDeleteCody knows he has a number of subjects/slaves who are at his beck and call! :)
ReplyDeleteHey, once Royal always Royal!!!
ReplyDeleteAwww Hail Prince Cody!!! He rules!!! Ok!
ReplyDeleteTake care
x

ReplyDeleteI'm waiting here for my Prince! MOL

I likes the name Cody and he certainly is a prince anyway. He knows it too! he he
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful.
At least you know your place in the household...to serve him :0)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
No,I'm sorry, but I think Cody is a tad demeaning for a cat of such Royal Stature. I love the way his poor canine subject seems to be looking up in awe at his Royal majesty!
ReplyDeleteHappy new year guys from me & Charlie Coal!

Prince Cody of the Catdom of Catatonia :)
ReplyDeletePerhaps it's time to set things right and address him properly as Prince Cody! Or perhaps he's ascended to the throne by now and should be called King Cody... His head has stayed remarkably small for this position! :P
ReplyDeleteBunny
Cody is indeed very prince-like!
ReplyDeleteNah...Cody is a much better name, especially since is now more of a king than a price.
ReplyDeleteYes, and mommy has a QUEEN here!! Me.
ReplyDeletexox
@Admiral Hestorb I am bowing down to you ohhhhh Queen!! xoxo I hope the Queen is feeling much better today!
ReplyDelete@Hilary I think you are the ONLY one who prefers the name Cody! lol. But you got the "king" part right! :)
@Tucker ohhh thank you, you adorable doggie you!!
@houndstooth, yes I have to agree! Prince was for when he was younger. Now he is a KING!! He may have a small head but he has a big belleh, just like those Kings sitting on their throne! lol
@Carolyn, I loved "prince cody of the catdom of catatonia" soooo much that I had to read that one to my husband OUT LOUD! lol
ReplyDelete@wockley LOL!! I know! Dakota is always starting at Cody in complete awe, mostly when Cody is sitting in or on things that Dakota can't get to. He loves it when I tell him to "Get Cody off of that" because then he starts herding him! Happy New Year to you too!!
@Cherie, truer words were never spoken! :)
ReplyDelete@Amin, Hi! Hope you are well and thank you!
@Mario, thanks!! I like the name Cody also! :) He has a "C" name like his Mama and you have an "M" name like YOUR Mama!! xoxo
@Luna...you are sooo cute! "Someday your Prince will come, somedaaaay your Prince will come!" (sung in my best Disney voice! lol)...seriously, be careful what you wish for!! Thanks so much for your kind words!! (((hugs))))
@Old Kitty yeah!! Charlie can be the Duke lol!!
ReplyDelete@Brian, got that right!! love it!
@The Chair Speaks, oh YES he does! :) The silly thing is that a lot of the time he prefers his "Daddy" :(
Go figure, when I am the "cat person" much more than his Dad! Makes me angry sometimes! lol
@Jen, yes he does! :)
ReplyDelete@Jan....I laughed when I read your comment with "Sir Cody", the first thing I thought of was Elton John lol
@Sammy and Andy thank you!!!!
ReplyDelete@Hannah and Lucy, Bobo was a good kitty but like all kitties he had his wild times. He was a lot more active than Cody is. Bobo got more quality attention because he was the "only" pet...sometimes it is hard to give cody enough attention because of our dog. Cody is much sneakier than Bobo ever was! He LOVES to tease our dog! I bet you are a good girl!!
@Yvonne, that is sooo nice of you!! Thank you!!! I am flattered! Pam at PBU made it for me. I have no clue how to make them. Thanks again!
ReplyDelete@Jeni yes! all kitties deserve a throne!
@The Monkeys, thank you!!!
Wow ! Cody, you must be undercover prince !!!!
ReplyDeleteWhere your princess awaits rescue by the handsome Prince Cody Charming!
Lol that is great. He's a handsome prince, too :)
ReplyDeleteHe does have a very regal air about him!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a pawfect throne for him!
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar
Hahaha my Mom has a friend whose kitty sits like a little prince too. Sadly I'm not very princessy
ReplyDelete@Mr.Puddy....shhhh don't tell anyone! It is my secret that I am a "Prince" lol. I don't have a "Princess" :(
ReplyDelete@Erika and Blair...oh I think you are beautiful!!!! You can be my Princess ANY DAY! Love, Cody
@Oskar thank you!!! Yes! It is! :)
@Cat...lol...he does....he surveys his "subjects" lol
@Stacey and Ellie thank you!! :)
My human wonders sometimes if I should have been called Princess. Actually, I think Goddess is more like it! I think maybe Cody would like to be known as Boss Cody.
ReplyDeleteOr as Cody might say: "Call me anything but not late for dinner."
ReplyDeletePrince Cody: how is your rendition of Purple Reign...er I mean Rain!
Ok I LOVE when two hilarious people comment one right after the other lol....@Sparkle...OMG "Boss Cody" is pure genius!! (like Springsteen, I love it!!)...I think "Goddess" is beyond appropriate for you because you truly ARE the "Goddess" of the cat world!
ReplyDelete@Careers4YourCat "Purple Reign...er....Rain" I am DYING!!
Love ya both!! I love all of you but you two just cracked me up!
Well I thinks Cody may actually be a Tsar.
ReplyDeleteBy the Grace of Ceiling Cat, Empress and Autocrat of All Catdom ~Tsarina, Artemisia
Maybe Cody has never forgotten that he was once called Prince!!
ReplyDeleteKittehs are truly the rulers of the world and everything in it. And we especially luff that last picture.
ReplyDelete@AFSS, hmmmm a "Tsar" might just work! I bow down to you my dear Artemisia!
ReplyDelete@The Island Cats I think you are exactly right!
@The Whiskeratti yes they are! thanks much, that is one of my faves too! :)
Cute! We think all cats are royalty...or should at least be treated as such :D
ReplyDeletePip, Smidgen, Minnie, and Hollie
Beautiful Cody is no Prince. He's a King!
ReplyDeleteCara you KNOW I agree with that!
ReplyDelete@Not Just Another Mother Blogger awww thank you!!!! "King Cody" is taking a bow!
ReplyDeleteWell, duh... sure seems like there would have been a reason for that name :-)) One never forgets ones humble beginnings :-) The images are so sweet.
ReplyDeletexox
I think all cats have a secret name like Prince or Your Highness :-)
ReplyDeleteBeing a dog owner, I was under the impression all cats thought they were either Prince or Princess ;-) But he definitely earns the name ;-) He's beautiful!

ReplyDeleteHe looks like a noble prince :) Sweet sheltie!
ReplyDelete@Gods Little People lol! Yes that is so true about "not forgetting humble beginnings" once again you have the perfect statement! Thanks for your kind words! :)
ReplyDelete@Au and Target, I wholeheartedly agree!

ReplyDeletePrince Cody!! Fits!! Just like Penelope The Cat From Hell!!!
ReplyDeleteHail King Cody!

Cody cracks me up! I especially love the one of him sitting at the table. He just has that look on entitlement on his face...well, I suppose all cats have that look! Cody is definitely a prince :)
